Sketch of the Day (day 7). I'm going to be working on a wolf commission painting, and this is the sketch for that... I think I'll make the wolf painting of two wolves running. Also, practice of movement... Enjoy!Related content

needless to say... I failed miserably in using your sketch in my own pic.
but here it is... haha. Well, I tried. Best I can say. It certainly isn't my best though... but it was one of my first time w/ watercolor and ink. Maybe i'll stick to acrylics and oil paints, haha.

Hi!
First off, I love the sketch! Especially the way you have a dust cloud, it really adds to the movement.
second, I was wondering if I could have permission to use this as a reference for a watercolor painting I want to do. One of my mother's students wrote a poem called "Running Wolves" and I was inspired to illustrate it. It'll be for private use, although I'll probably post it here on Deviant Art. I'll give you credit too.
I have the sketch done, it looks very similar to yours--the only difference is that I added a third wolf in the background.
If you'd rather I didn't use this sketch as a reference, that's fine too.

We might want to commission you but the prices you quoted my wife don't really reflect the ones in your commission info journal...

perhaps there was a bit of a misunderstanding? On my commission info journal it says paintings generally range from $25-$300 depending on size, and what it is painted on. I am willing to negotiate the price for a commission, so just note me and we can work something out. What your wife asked for sounds like a lot of fun and I'd love to do it.

I think we were managining a colored pencil sketch rather an a painting.

ah, okay. Yeah, those are in the $25-$75 range, depending on size, and content (background added, number of animals, etc.) I could also do mix media (some acrylic, used like watercolor, and color pencil... I find it makes the process quicker and looks nice) at no extra charge from a solo color pencil drawing. Just note me for further details.
