Another shot of Mary. I really wanted a concrete template for her, so I got up close and personal here. I always hated her hair from the older designs, so I refined it all into something that way both coherent and easy to draw (Yeah, robot hair is a bitch).I have a much older deviation by this name, but sadly, it's pretty poorly drawn in comparison.

I'm really excited about this image! I've been waiting for some time to see you refine your work to something solid and elegant -- and this new turn marks a decidedly solid and elegant chapter. Stylistically, I am glad to see that you have left the uncertain, sketchy feel to other pieces but have stayed ringingly true to your underlying themes. Equally, I am pleased that you are reinventing old inspirations, distilling them down to cohesive and functional kernels. In one fell swoop you have solved any previous reproachful critiques I espoused; how thrilling to be made to reassess! Your work is essentially charming, electric, and dense -- at once characteristics I know to describe you personally and elements of intriguing and compelling foreshadowings.
I have to say I am enchanted by Mary, as always and even moreso now -- you know my weakness for the warrior woman and femme fatale archetypes. I also adore the classic comic-dot background

I really liked the older Magnum Mary piece though. It was one of my favourite ones. You not gonna give her the cowboy hat no more?

She'll still have her hat. This was just done to pin down the design of what's underneath

You'se crazy, man. I don't know how you can draw something so well and so detailed multiple times. I realize you are a comic artist and not an animator, but still, even comic art requires some repetition.
I'm curious as to how she'd "transition" to the simple 2D animation style of drawing. She'd have to lose all her awesome underlying robot skin/conduit/wire texture. D:
