Description What I would give to be free
of the misery that is me
to walk out the door, dog in tow
and never look back at this place
I've so long known, in that moment
I would be, at last, gone
to be who I should be, in the end
not trapped by the mind and its agony
or limited by this old, tired, thing
I call my body. I would, at last
be gone--to wherever the dead
do roam and explore.
Yet in that I'd lose all that might
be here, and I've not yet seen
all there is to see, or do,
in this world, I long to leave.
So I wait, and wish, that
change would come, to unleash
me from my burdens just enough
so that I could make my dreams real
and feel what I feel
all for myself, as I need,
and wish to share
with so many others
also trapped in here
with me, in this world
and state of madness
we call living.

hmmm well you should do something to escape for a while... like save up for a mission trip or a road trip or something

Saving up, would be nice. If my needs didn't come so close to exceeding my disability

Thank you. I wish. Even just a change in luck, for a little while.

A very sad poem and a question I can not answer. It's really hard to understand the real meaning of being free. So it's tough to answer.

freedom is within me my reach
just a few months away
and i would not give anything i have
to gain the freedom
i so yearn for
but when it comes
i will have twice as much
as i do in my value of life
