I was very unhappy with the results of my last pic. I drew this as punishment.

Okay, fine... so that's not entirely true. Though I really was unhappy with the previous pic (even more so considering it was a gift...), I've been wanting to draw another "Dragon in Drag" pic for quite some time. I... I don't exactly know why.

Unlike last time, I decided to try and think up something Melee actually would wear if he did crossdress (and wore something a little more... modern). Obviously, I had to keep his usual color scheme intact (two shades of violet, and light gray) and implement his emblem somewhere. Initially, the emblem was on the shoes only, but it was too subtle, so I added a necklace with the emblem, as well.

I didn't take a lot of risks with this one, except that I didn't use the grass tool in PhotoShop (all from scratch) and I didn't blur Melee's outlines (only his clothing). Not sure how I feel about the background... the cliff looks iffy. The volcano doesn't look much better. I'm obviously still rusty.

To be honest, I've been wanting to make a few of these "Dragon in Drag" pics, but I've mostly been afraid to due in part to the fact that Melee was meant to be a personal avatar of myself, and I don't think I want people to think of me as such. Why yes, I am insecure, thank you very much.

Nevertheless, I'll be sure to do a decent pic of Melee soon - I need a new ID, after all, and I don't think this cuts it. Comments welcome, as always.
