I'm back for another Meme Wednesday and this time I will be talking about 10 characters who I think deserve better. No specific order by the way, they're just characters that came to mind.

10. Silver the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise) - First off we will be talking about one of my favorite characters of all time. Why do I think he deserves better? First off a lot of the fandom hates him and it's only because he was introduced in one of the worst games in the franchise, that's all. (I like that game by the way, but that's not what's important). Also, his life really sucks, he's stuck fighting Iblis forever and the only way to defeat him is for Blaze (his only friend) to sacrifice herself. That makes me sad.

9. Harley Quinn (DC Comics) -This lady had a promising career as a psychiatrist, but had it all taken away when she was manipulated by the Joker who turned her into what she is now. A crazy psycho who is always getting abused.

8. Ganta Igarashi (Deadman Wonderland) - Where do we begin with this guy? Starting out by havng an abusive childhood is bad enough, but then his life got worse. On just a normal day in school, he watched his two best friends get murdered out of nowhere and the blame was pinned on him. He was sentenced to death at the Deadman Wonderland Prison, which is a place that we should all be glad that doesn't exist. For those who haven't seen the anime or read the manga, it's basically a prison where the prisoners must do whatever they can to keep themselves alive. They must buy their own food with money that they can only recieve by participating in events that may kill them. They're also forced to participate in fights and losers get a penalty of having a body part removed. And worst of all is they have collars around their necks that will poison them if they don't eat a certain candy that gives them another three days to live. The candy can only be recieved by participating in events and it tastes terrible. That's basically what the prison is like and no one of the outside world knows about it, because they're led to believe that it's an amusement park.

7. Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Mami Tomoe, Sayaka Miki and Kyoko Sakura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) - So in this universe, there's this cat/ferret named Kyubey who has girls make contracts with him. The contract is that he will grant any wish that they desire in exchange they must fight witches for the rest of their lives. Once they become a Magical girl, their souls are placed inside a gem that if breaks kills them. Not only that, but wben fighting witches, the only way they can be defeated is if they use magic which causes their soul gems to rot. The only way to prevent a soul gem from rotting is to purify it with a grief sead which can only sometimes be obtained by defeating a witch. Thinking of witches, if a soul gem rots enough, the magical girl will turn into a witch. Yes, witches are fallen magical girls. That's basically what the anime is about, I don't want to go into too much detail about the five magical girls though, because that means more spoilers.

6. Robbie Shapiro (Vicotorious) - Laugh at me all you want, but yes, I had a phase where I was watching Victorious a lot back when I was 15, but I couldn't help it, it was actually a pretty good show. My least favorite thing about the show though was the way Robbie was treated by the writers. The show tended to be mean spirited toward him with a lot of unncecessary cruelty happening. Such as Cat always being oblivious toward his crush on her and whenver something happens in his favor it gets ruined within a few seconds. I feel so bad for that guy and the worst part about it is when Tori steals the spotlight from him whenever it's his time to shine.

5. Sammy (Total Drama) - Before I explain, I just want to say that I refuse to call her Samey, because that's not her name. She likes being called Sammy, so that is what I wll be calling her from now until the end of time. This character is so easy to have sympathy for her, because of her horrible twin sister Amy. Amy is an abusive sister who always makes Sammy suffer just because she feels like it. Now that's evil. Sure we finally got to see Sammy stand up to her by making her eat the manchineel fruit and got her eliminated, but it was made pointless when Amy returned in two episodes later and got Sammy eliminated. So lame, poor Sammy.

4. The puppets (Don't Hug Me I'm Scared) - In this web series, we've got three puppets who are just normal innocent people, but are put through hell by everyday objects in each video. We get all this creepy animation and it gets worse for them in every video. I love the series so much, but I can't help but sympathize with the puppets. I know things got better for them at the end, but you never know what could happen.

3. Monomi (Danganronpa 2) - This poor adorable bunny had done nothing wrong and was trying to create a happy environment on Jabberwock island only for her plans to be ruined by Monokuma. He took away all her power and had her set to be how he desired. Then throughout the game, he constantly abuses her and it makes me sad everytime Monokuma is seen punching Monomi. She doesn't deserve anything that happens to her throughout the game. I would explain more, but I'd have to spoil the game and trust me, you are not going to want to have it spoiled.

2. Sky (Total Drama) - My favorite character in the season that I wasn't too fond of. This character had it rough in the finale. She pretty much lost everything, including her crush who will never forgive her and, in what is considered by most people the canon ending, the money. A lot of people hate her, because she cheated on her boyfriend and she used Dave's feeling to help her win (which is false). What I hate the most though is that a lot of people say that's she's the bad guy even though she isn't.

Squidward Tentacles (Spongebob Squarepants) - This guy just needs to be left alone, he's just trying to mind his own business, but Spongebob and Patrick keep making his life miserable and he is usually the only one punished at the end of an episode even when he did not hing wrong. An episode I will use as an example is "Choir Boys". Basically, Squidward is on his way to tryouts for men's choir and Spongebob keeps following him there and making him take longer to make it. We get to hear Spongebob attempt to sing, but his throat is clogged up and it's super annoying. After Squidward finally makes it to the tryouts, his throat is clogged and Spongebob arrives with an "amazing" singing voice and gets to be a part of the men's choir while Squidward does not. That's how a lot of the other Squidward Torture Porn episodes are as well, that was just the episode that bugs me the most.
