Phew! Decided to fill this meme though I felt it's gonna be a pain...
Actually I am rather unsure of my choices.... I chose the character maybe year or half ago? That's why I may miss some things from shows or games I watched/played later on. But I am too tired to change it. Just gonna put in honourable mentions what pops in my head now.
However I still can defend my choices as they are here for a reason. Get ready for long rant. And remember, these are my opinions, I may roast something you love. Please be respectful, I don't hate you for thinking otherwise.
AND OBVIOUSLY!! SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED OR PLAYED CERTAIN MEDIA BACK OFF. You've been warned.

Onto the list then:

10. Goldof (Rokka no Yuusha)- aww this poor guy. Actually when I watched anime for the first time I didn't care for him as he was such a silent character with not much to offer. However when I was showing this anime to my sister lately and therefore rewatching I aprecciated him. He was very loyal and humble to Nashetania, he didn't annoy, didn't run his mouth when he had nothing to say, it is something to aprecciate. Also his feelings to princess felt genuine and sweet. Sadly she treated him like dirt in return. She rejected his feelings even though he never even confessed or offered anything, she would embarass him and keep admiring the other guy in his presence even though she knew it could hurt him. And then in the final it turns out she betrayed everyone and abandons Goldof. This leaves him devasted as he understands someone he believed in turned to be total psycho. I was feeling really sorry for him and I felt kinda bad that I didn't aprecciate him back then. He deserves to make stronger bound with other heros and have someone who actually respects him. Though yeah, anime ended up on cliffhanger that suggested that there is another traitor among them but I think they never made 2nd season so we will never know. I doubt it would be Goldof anyway.

9. Kon (Bleach)- yes I know. Sometimes he was a perv. Sometimes he was a creep. But he is more than that! He is actually loyal and sensitive friend who literally cries his eyes out when his friends are in trouble! Also despite being in plushie's body he still tries to help around, even if clumsily. However writer treats him like punching bag and lets his awful tsunderes to abuse him countlessly just for sake of really poor sense of humour! Especially Rukia treats him just horribly, even if he doesn't do anything bad. It's enough for him to call something like "Sister, I'm happy you're home" and she just punches him and throws at the other end of the room. Because...abuse is funny...? Rukia is so cool when she mistreat little teddy bear... yeehhh...? I don't get why they do it to character who is supposed to be their mascot... heck, there is whole outro with other plushies tormenting him www.youtube.com/watch?v=otUMtb… I'm just...so done. Justice for Kon, dammit.

8. Courtney (Total Drama franchise)- I have veeeeery mixed feelings about this one. I don't get her appeal, why she has so many fans and so on. But I can't hate her either. I really loved her dynamics with Duncan in TDI but later everything went downhill. But you know what? I blame Gwuncan. TDA was one huge "Gwuncan preparation" show. Making Gwent break up for idiotic reason? Check. Adding random out of place Gwuncan "romantic" moments? Check. making Courtney jealous? Check. Making Courtney totally abusive "b*tch just so Duncan has reason to break up? Check. Just look at that, why were these two couple ruined? For Gwuncan's sake. It's just so low. And then World Tour happens. Duncney already broke up so it was perfect opportunity for Gwen and Duncan to start romance normally. But no. Let's glue Duncan and Courtney back together so he can CHEAT on her because after all drama for the win. Bravo. What I want to say I hate how this crackship completely manipulated whole show to make writing pander all to make them together, it was done very clumsily and ruined some characters and plots. Sorry, I just always get salty about it. Back to the point. Courtney happened to annoy me good amount of times but after TDWT events I was just siding with her so much and felt sorry for her that I really wanted her to be redempted and have happy ending. Too bad it never really happened. I know Total Drama Rama exists now but tbh I don't treat it like canon, more like some AU so it doesn't satisfy me really. Concluding she was only turned villain to make Gwuncan look like some tragic romantic heros with her as main antagonist. I don't buy it.

7. Chuck (Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt)- yeah, I know that I shouldn't take anything that happens in this show seriously but that's the same problem I have like in Kon's case but worse! It's about pet like creature that gets bullied just for laughs. Sorry, I just can't see what's funny with little mindless creature getting constantly cruelly beaten... that is another reason for me not to like Stocking too much, she is the one to be the worst to him. There were moments when he was actually nice like trying to share his food with Stocking when she was hungry... but yeah, all he gets is being tortured. Also mind that I am not the biggest Chuck's fan, I actually find him rather pointless (and I just hated the episode centred around him *shudders*) but I think he doesn't deserve to have this shady role of abused pet. Just let him be.

6. The Vagabonds (Pucca)- I'm just awfully sorry for them. They are poormen that are literally starving and can't afford ramen that everyone in village love. They have terrible luck and aren't villains really, they are poor outcasts that nobody likes. These are these jokes of the episodes when they try to finally earn some money or get to eat but everything fails terribly. in "The special delivery" (I just hate this episode) we constantly get to watch them hungry and craving for food and when they try to get it they land in jail in progress... and policeman takes their order away and eats it himself. The heck is wrong with you writers? Making fun of poor people is funny to you? That's just beyond me. Well, at least Chief got to marry her crush in one episode xd

5. Monika (Doki Doki Literature Club)- yeah this game freaked me out more than anything else in the world did. But yeah, I think that Monika despite being super creepy came out really sympathetic. Imagine you are self aware when you belong to the game and you know that your world isn't even real. And to make it worse she as the only one aware can't even interact with player as much as her friends as there is no ending she gets the guy. Also later she is able to apologise for her actions, even in the very end, when she erases the whole game to prevent this whole mess from starting over again. Even though yeah, she did some sick stuff it just felt honest when she was talking to player about her reasoning and feelings. Guess that's villain done right. Anyway her fate was sad and I feel bad for her.

4. Tomoko (Watamote)- she is high on the list because the way she was pictured felt really relatable and just...human. Even though anime was comedy it had a lot of sad realistic bitterness to it as it was all about Tomoko having so much hopes and always trying to change her life for better but was always failing miserably, most often because she was too shy or awkward. Interesting thing is that at first I laughed at intro as it was hardcore and dark and I thought it was exaggeration... but after watching the anime and thinking of it it is extremely accurate. That's how she feels, chained to her anxiety and unable to step out to society. It just kicks hard. To make it worse she doesn't have happy ending. It is confusing but it clearly suggests she crossed some barrier and isn't able to fight anymore. Poor Tomoko...

3. Misao (Misao)- how could anyone play this game and not feel sorry for Misao? She was kind average girl that did nothing wrong. Yet because of falling for the most popular guy, the bully queen turns her life into hell. Seeing flashbacks of how much she went through was just depressing. Her death was gruesome and unfair too. And even though her curse was broken and she could leave in peace she still died...

2. Morty (Rick and Morty)- what should I start of? He always gets hurt, almost killed, abandoned or humiliated. Also Rick never listens to him and does whatever he wants with him. He got through so much crap throughtout the series that it hurts just to think of it. He freaking was forced to bury his own deadbody and live with his family from another dimension which was just hurting him mentally. Also I can see how his personality develops and changes due to all these misadventures. Like in episode when he saw his idols were completely useless against Rick's traps and he was the one who had to save them. He seemed so done there... but yeah, the show is so cynical that I am not sure if I can count on some happy ending for Morty but well, guess we will see...

1. Flowey (Undertale- okkkk first thing of all, I am really tired of Undertale so I am hesitant about this pick. But yeah, I can't ignore that story of this character was just....sad. And yeah, I know, Asriel is the one who's poor, Flowey is just this evil asshole version of him. But he is way more interesting to me, Asriel just makes me feel meh. That's why Flowey's pic, after all they are the same anyway sooo... seeing how everybody gets good ending it's kind of eerie to think that Flowey is locked in endless loop where game repeats over and over again and there is no ending where he could break free from it. It's just unsettling especially for game so warm and love oriented. It leaves player a bit shocked and unsatisfied after finishing the game. Also it just got this creepy sense of eternity, timelines, paradoxes, all that stuff, such topics can really get me uncomfortable. That's why he is that high on the list, it has this sense of miserable loop...

Brief (PaSwG)- speaking of brief, huh. He was constantly abused and humiliated by angel sisters, especially Panty. However he got the whole episode for him to shine which rewarded him a bit.

Tobe (Pucca)- he deserves more than being forced into having crush on Pucca by fandom. Nuff said.

Asgore (Undertale)- he deserves way better than this b*tch Toriel.

Mettaton (Undertale)- it feels bad he wasn't among the friends at the end of the game, just Alphys. Oh well.... and I won't even bring up Mettaton Neo.

Haida (Agretsuko)- it's just so sad how such nice guy can't succeed at winning Retsuko. And watching him heartbroken breaks my heart too...

Karamatsu (Osomatsu-san)- I haven't finished watching it yet but I already get the feeling he is whipping boy of the series. Too bad, he's fantastic <3

Eddie (Angels of death) the nicest psychopath ever. I was just sad to see him suffer, especially in anime...

Garry and Mary (Ib)- how come there is no ending with both of them alive? That sucks you gotta choose...

Majority of Danganronpa characters- I didn't finish all games yet but there is so many characters to mention...

O well, agree or not, I hope you can see my point though.
