Description Finally filled this, it took forever. I really wanted to fill this kind of menu to highlight some characters I love <3 of course there is many characters I skipped here so I don't have too many from one fandom (coughdanganronpacough) and I tried to explore as many media as possible.
There might be some SPOILERS for the series I describe here, proceed with caution.
Well here we go:

Because he's interesting: Gundham Tanaka (Superdanganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair)- seriously, I haven't met anyone who would hate this guy. He is absolutely fascinating with how you approach him the first time and you expect him to have some grim talent but then it turns out he is actually a breeder and has 4 hamsters living in his scarf Later on he keeps giving you this weird dark necromancy lines about being Overlord of Ice but once you kinda break his code it turns out he feels kinda lonely but doesn't know how approach people really... poor guy. Also his love plot with Sonia is one of my favourite thing about the game summinh up, I loved how many layers and depth this character had, love him forever

Because he's cool Garu (Pucca)- probably my longest lasting crush from childhood 8.I xDDD Pucca was my favourite show when I was younger, now...writing seems a little to juvenile and Pucca being Mary Sue pisses me off but I just can't stop adoring Garu. He is total badass, always practising or meditating, I totally can see how he earned his skills abilities. What is even more impressing is that he is this type characters who never speaks and he is still more expressive than most of characters I can see in shows in movies. I'l always love this adorable guy

Because he's character makes sense Todoroki Shoto (My hero academia)- don't judge me too hard for this but I haven't watched 3rd season yet so I have no idea how Todoroki was there but I really liked him in previous seasons. I remember disliking him at first cause he seemed like this arrogant genius kid, who is always the best, wohoho. After getting to know him better (especially his backstory) I wamred up to him though. I think his development made sense and when I understood why he is the way he is I started liking him.

Because he has flaws Yukiteru Amane (Mirai Nikki)- actually this character is overly hated for his flaws but I actually love his personality. We finally get protagonist who is weak and actually reacts human like to threats and dangers around him. After all unrealistic overly strong characters who seem to have nothing in common in normal human being this is actually refreshing. I understand how some of his actions could be seen as stupid or annoying but I actually couldn't blame him for anything. Also it's sad to me that everyone keeps talking about him being weak and no one really spots how he actually is the one to save the day at the end...

Because of his actions WALL. E- I remember that when I watched WALL. E for the first time in cinema it really impressed me and I kept thinking about the movie and the story... and I still after all this time I fell sentiment to it and love WALL.E as a character <3 he is an absolute sweetie, hard working and caring about the ones around him. Seeing how he was taking care of EVE after she stopped functioning must be one of the most heartwarming scenes you can see in the movie. Any moment with this little guy onscreen was pure joy

Because of his beliefs Makoto Naegi (Danganronpa series)- my favourite character from the whole series <333 I just love his friendly and forgiving attitude, he wouldn't give up on anyone and go as far as break the rules of the foundation he was in to save the formenr students who turned villains. I love how he always believed in everyone and tamed even such jerk as Byakuya Makoto is a cinnamon roll, best Ultimate Hope we can get

Because of Subtext Douglas Reynholm (IT Crowd)- even though this character was actually piece of sexist jerk I can't get myself to hate him because I just love the acting behind him. The actor playing him does fantastic job delivering the jokes and punchlines, to the point that Douglas' first appearence became iconic I don't know if it's the right category to put him in but that's kind of a reason for me liking this character.

Because he's smart L (Death Note)- and same goes for Light. I love the writing of this show, it finally shows geniuses and their schemes and not just "they guessed it because they are smart, even though they didn't have the smallest clue for this statement" (even though later on it goes for this trope, especially for N, ugh, why did we need N...). Normally I am not a big fan of smart characters cause they are usually written all over the top but L was Β enjoyable to watch to me. Not mentioning he had many cute moments too xD

Because he's misunderstood Kovu (Lion King 2: Simba's Pride)- I remember liking the movie a lot when I was a kid and I still do. Kovu was in general pretty sympathetic character with how his choices drove him to the point where both tribes didn't want to have anything to do with him. Poor guy. Good thing was that he got accepted by Simba in the end.

Because he's well done archetype Harold (Total drama series)- seriously, I love this guy. He did impossible and made me love nerd character actually. The problem I have with other smart pants characters is that saying some smarty crap like solving mathematical problems or explaining laws of physic is their only trait, however that's not the case with Harold. He doesn't really preach too much and has way more to his personality. He is a loner, ninja fighter, passionate lover and badass when it comes to taking revenge on his bully. I found his character interesting, finally nerd who can do more than showing off how smart he is.

Because he's amiable Merlin (Merlin)- I kinda ditched the show before the final season because I couldn't stand Gwentur but Merlin as a character was absolutely precious. I loved his kind, humble nature while in the same time being slightly mischievious with good sense of humour. I loved his dialogues with Artur too, I would love to see them more together.

Because she subverts a despised cliche Penny (The Big bang theory)- finally female character, I am so sorry. Anyway I know that she still is cliche in a way cause she is blonde and she isn't really booksmart buuuut she stil far exceeded my expectations. When we were about to meet her I thought she's gonna be extremelly dumb dolly face who is super girly, obsessed with her looks and kinda alphatb*tch (as these tropes are extremely overused..). But actually no, she is pretty much toned down. She is aware of her atractiveness, she likes looking good but she still has moments when she just walks around in lumpy clothes, acts tomboyish and tough. Also she isn't self absorbed, she actually cares a lot abotu people around her, her patience for Sheldon for example makes her an angel. Also she is socially smart, which makes a good contrast for her nerd neighboors. Gotta say that through the seasons I started liking the guys less and less but Penny never got old to me. Best girl <3

Because of his dedication Haida (Aggretsuko)- Haida is perfect husbando material, you won't change my mind. He is shown to be extremely attentive to Retsuko and willing to learn more about her rather than creating fake fantasy of her in his mind. Portrayal of his love is unusually healthy and mature for anime standrards and it just makes you root for him so much... I was so angry with Retsuko for falling for some meh guys who did almost nothing for her when she has Haida around...but guess you can't help not loving someone. Poor Haida. I really hope he gets happy ending in season 3.

Because I can relate Toko Fukawa (Danganronpa series)- still playing Ultra Despair Girls so mind you if I miss something important about her character, tho gotta say I love character development she's getting so far. Anyway focusing of 1st part she wasn't really my favourite but her Free Time Events made me feel for her as I was getting similar (not that rough though) treatment in middle school and all the disappointment with people leaded me to be distrustful and cynical. Even though she is kinda annoying sometimes I kinda understand why she's suspicious when someone actually is reaching a friendly hand to her.

Because she has redeemable qualities Brandy Harrington (Brandy and Mr. Whiskers)- hahahahahh, actually she goes to "I relate" category too, I feel her soooo much, I have brother who annoys shit out of me sometimes. But however I want to focus on different aspects of her character. She is written to be snobbish, selfish and self-centred but she actually breaks out from these traits a lot. She actually does heck a lot for Whiskers and in the end she shows that she prioritizes him over her own good even if she has to sacrifice as much as going back home. She's a precious girl cause even though she is flawed she can choose the right thing in the end. Love her <3

Because he makes me laugh Chandler (Friends)- I haven't finished Friends cause I heard that it goes worse in later seasons (also I grew so tired of Ross and Rachel IB), but I always remember Chandler with good sentiment. He was likely the only one character who wouldn't piss me off in the end. Also he had some best lines and moments in series. If I go back to watching it will be likely for him.

Because she's polite Amu Hinamori (Shugo Chara)- I haven't finished this one as well cause I couldn't find latter episodes at some point... but I have good memories with this anime, it was very chill and heartwarming. I really liked Amu as protagonist, even though she had little crisis herself and she had problem gaining her self confidence she could stand up for herself and others and she would always help the ones in need. She could be easily written in the way it would make her annoying and self-absorbed but luckily this wasn't a case. Thanks to her kind nature anime was really pleasant to watch.

Because she's honest Princess Carolyn (Bojack Horseman)- I don't know if "honest" is the right category but I don't know how else to name it. PC was strong, never gave up and was able to fight for her goals until the very end. Also she and Diane was always there to talk some sense into Bojack even if they had to use tough words. I found myself liking PC more though cause she was absolute badass yet still had weaknesses and sensitivity which made her only more relatable. I think she definetely deserved happy ending.

Because he puts others first Brief (Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt)- Brief is the only sane person in this weird anime I swear xDDD he is also absolute sweetheart and my 75% reason to watch the show. He is always there to help the girls even though he doesn't have special powers or astonishing abilities. Yet he is always there for them and tries his best to be helpful. Idk, I would have to write an essay why I love this guy so much, let me just sum it up with saying he is without a doubt huggable cinnamon roll <3

Because he's attractive Keith (Voltron)- he's a good character, his backstory is interesting, I love his moments with Lance but I gotta say that what captivates me the most is his design and personal charm I can't help it, I just find him really handsome success as I usually prefer long-haired guys...

Because he's responsible Choromatsu (Osomatsu-san)- I remember watching first episode of Osomatsu-san where eveyone was going batshit crazy and hyper and Choromatsu was the one to shout at them to calm the heck down x.DDD Choro gained my heart for the moments when I wanted someone to speak up and do something about the mess brothers were in and Choro did exactly that. He is also the one to be the most active in terms of job-hunting and when something isn't right he is the first one to get suspicious. I also loved his interactions with Ichimatsu and Karamatsu in second season (FINALLY someone standing up for Karamatsu, bless you Choro <3). Also gonna say, out of all Matsu's borthers I relate the most to Choro so it's another reason for me to root for him xD

Because he's a leader Shiro (Voltron)- idk, Shiro just has this leader vibe, also seems to have the most experience. It makes hims a believable chief to rest of the squad

Because she's insane in a good way Kaga Koko (Golden Time)- I didn't like Kaga at first cause she seemed screenhog to me but later I warmed up to her and her antics. Not much to add here, she just makes me laugh xD

Because he's a good companion Garry (Ib)- literally. Ib was my first horror game and I am very sensitive to jumpscares so I was pretty wimpy... but since Ib finds Garry I felt much better because of how atmosphere changes with him. He is cute lovable guy who is willing to take care of Ib and protect her when needed even though he is probably even more faint-hearted than her xD the part when he appears makes game so much better to me

Because she's a good relative Jazz (Danny Phantom)- it was refreshing to see kind and supportive older sisters as cartoons just love the trope of abusive older sibling (damn, I could have put her in subverting cliche one xd). Jazz even though a little smartpants and overprotective at times was actually nice and friendly to Danny, she was also willing to keep a secret about his ghost powers so he doesn't get into conflict with their parents. What's more to say, she's a sweetheart

Because he feels human David Hoover (The crooked man)- David was very believable and relatable protagonist. The way he faced different characters on his way and seeing his own past in them leads him to emotional breakdown, which feels real and justified, however later on with help of his friends he manages to move on, as story goes some things go better for him, some go worse, there is no oversweetened happy ending, he just learns to carry on and find happiness in little things. That's what made the game and character so powerful.

Because he learns from mistakes Kudoh (Misao)- Kudoh has done terrible things, from abandoning his friend Misao after he was teased about her to ignoring the fact she was bullied. However he shows so much remorse and regrets his actions a lot later on that it makes me hard to hate him. People make mistakes, even really hurting ones but important thing is to try to change. I hope he was forgiven.

Because I strongly pity him Karamatsu (Osomatsu-san)- seriously, Karamatsu deserves way better than what he gets. He seems to always gets short end of the stick and gets hurt or insulted for practically no other reason than his bad taste. It seems to me that things are getting calmer with him in 2nd season though there still was this one episode with him getting used by all his brothers (except for Choro) just because he can't turn them down as he wants to be nice... just give this guy some love.

Because they're creative Pat and Mat (A je to)- I have no idea if this show is known multinationally but for me it's part of my childhood. Recently I came back to it and gotta say it is absolute delight. Seeing these two fellows' inventions and crazy ideas never fails to amaze me.

Because he's rebellious Isaac Foster (Angels of death)- I didn't expect to love this game as much as I did but eh, I have no control over such things. I loved interactions of Rachel and Zack and Zack in general. He was this simple minded psycho killer who couldn't really catch up with how complicated the story was xD and that's why he worked so well, when the story was about religion, believing or not, gods, angels yada yada and he was just there wanting to go out 8I xD surprisingly he was likely the most relatable character in this weird game...

Because he has great potential Saizou Kirigakure (Brave 10)- wow, I didn't know he had surname, lol. Anyway I really liked Saizou, he was this type of guy who didn't give a crap but he would end up doing things he isn't really into like being accompanied by annoying girl xd however the probelm is I don't really care about anime that much, I just watched it and moved on. Maybe if anime itself had more interesting story line or at least 2nd season flesh out other characters I could be more of an active fan.

Because of his role in the group Fu Dog (American Dragon Jake Long)- I really liked the show when I was a kid, I would watch it almost everyday. Year or two ago me and my sis had marathon rewatching all episodes and basing on that I gotta say that Grandpa and Fu are my favs xD I just liked how Fu was some sort of mentor for Jake and also always having his back, yet still being super chill and minding his own business. Yeah, he was a fun character xD

Because he appeals to demographic Ryota Mitarai (Danganronpa 3)- Ryota was an Ultimate Animator and was portrayed as sickly boy who draws and draws and draws ignoring his health and being social. I think this is quite accurate for an artist character, finally showing how much effort and passion it takes to create an animation. I think many artists can relate.

Because she's satire/spoof Hyacinth Bucket (Keeping up appearances)- I remember watching show a little when I was younger. Hyacinth is hysterical because she is parody of a snob who thinks extremely high of herself even though she isn't really important.

Because he's charming Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler)- Sebastian is one of the most handsome guys in anime history, fight me xd His manners as a butler, elegancy and class also give him this irresistible charm. And I am still trying to get over the fact his dubbing actor is also voice of Jyushimatsu...

Because of those who hate him Jerry (Rick and Morty)- seriously, leave Jerry alone. He may be quite flawed but I like how human he is, also there are episodes when he is really reasonable and relatable. Oh well, everyone has their own taste.

Because not enough people like him Renji Abarai (Bleach)- I think Renji deserves better. He started as badass villain figure but then they completely nerfed him. I don't mind him getting on side of the heros but nowadays he hardly wins any fight... also I prefer him over Ichigo, I feel that ironically he has more personality...

Because he has nostalgic value Mario (Super Mario Bros franchise)- as a kid I loved playing Mario games on SNES. It's beautiful part of my childhood therefore Mario always makes me smile.

Because gold comes out of her mouth GLaDOS (Portal)- oh come on, she was hilarious, I don't think I need to explain that. Also fantastic and iconic villain.

Because she changed for the better Fremy (Rokka no Yuusha)- I didn't like her at first cause she seemed arrogant emo girl at first but after hearing her backstory and her actually taking a risk and trusting Adlet and helping him when he needed support...that was some good character development.

Sans (Undertale)- I REALLY didn't want to add the most overrated character of last years but I didn't really have better ideas. What I liked about the game how it reserved my thinking and questioned why we just play games killing enemies without wondering why we kill them...

BECAUSE I CAN Sister Krone (Promised Neverland)- DON'T ASK ME I DON'T KNOW. Must be with the way she danced.

Sheesh, it took forever... Sorry if I couldn't explain some properly, just ask me if you want to clear something up.
Enjoy

Toko is best girl to me. Her alternate personality, Genocide Jack, reminded me of Mal from All-Stars. Except Genocide Jack changes and Mike... literally got a reset button and cured his DID, which is offensive. Even the Danganronpa characters would get so offended.

Imagine Toko Fukawa completing in Total Drama. Everything will go so wrong, don't you think?

Damn I tried to read all of them 8U and now I'm inspired to do this meme >> wish me luck xwx XDDD

But yes, I agree with most points, especially with Garu.... As much as I want to watchbOuxca again, it disappoints me that it's still.m garnered to younger audience and we can't get good plots and lore from it xwx. A Haida is best boi, and yes I agree with that xDD

I wanna comment on all your choices but I think I already did that last night in Messenger xDDD anyway.... Noice Choices 8DD
