Okay emo description time over, his name is Cecil and a Bad Thing happened that he's blaming himself for and driving himself to unhealthy lengths in his search and rescue job

He's currently inside a literal broken shard of his home dimension, if that tells you how bad of a Bad Thing it was

Don't worry, it's not hopeless, there's someone working on reassembling that patch of the multiverse, Cecil's just out rescuing people from shards before the shards collapse, or they get killed, or they become Lost

He's still very not okay and needs therapy so badly he literally has to hear it from himself before he listens

I swear his book isn't ridiculously gritty and dark and apocalyptic, the shards are just incredibly eerie places and I got hit with inspo while listening to Kurzgesagt music
