No it doesn't look bad, but using it as a base for creating vectors and rigs won't give you show-accurate characters. (Pony Creator is probably one of the best tools for brainstorming OCs, though. ^^,)

What if you can't draw? The pony creator allows you to make a pony without knowing how to draw.

Yes, and I tried to vector Twilicorn/Alicorn(/Pegacorn) Twilight from that creator for an art. SO, yeah. I didn't save and upload it.

I use bases instead. 'Cos I don't know how to draw pones ponies.

Well, sometimes, I create OCs there. But I use bases (MS Paint usable) more.

Do ya mean as in lighting effects? Or do you just want another view/pose other than just sideways? As in where part of the body is sideways, but the pony is facing the viewer?
I have the same problem, assuming yours is the sideways view thing.

3D is generally just the inclusion of shadows. If you understand how lighting works on a 3D object, the effect is relatively simple to create.

I like the poiny you make and I do think it is reasonable. Just that remember that generalzoi or any other person on here cannot draw a pony perfectly. And don't hate my point.

People don't make fun of the game. the creator of this game worked hard for your entertainment and it is so difficult to make games I can barely draw a picture.

I think pony creator is a useful starting point, but not for any sort of finished product since too many of the designs, even fairly "normal" ones, fall into uncanny valley .

I sort of get what you're trying to say, however I think you're incorrect as to use the uncanny valley comparison, as it has to do with human movement, such as robotics or 3D animation. It has to do with human likeness, therefore can't really be used here. Again, I get what you mean, but it's a bit out there to use the comparison. Also, I don't think that the pony creator causes any sort of revulsion/discomfort to people when compared to real ponies.

I guess you're right. But most of the time when I see something made in pony creator, I almost always get the feeling that there's something off about it, even when it's a completely normal OC and there's nothing wrong with the character design in and of itself. I can't really say what it is, but uncanny valley is the closest thing I can think of. Perhaps it has to do with the character being drawn by some algorithm rather than manually?

Yeah I figured that's what you meant. It is off, because of a few reasons. The anatomy is incorrect in a few spots, the colors are off, due to the shading being black overlay, I believe, and the posing if pretty wacky. So I get how it feels off and maybe even can make someone uncomfortable. Maybe there's a phrase for something such as this that doesn't have to do with human likeness.

Well I used it for a reference. I make my character on it then when I'm done draw them. Many people who CAN draw used it to gave them a little idea to see how their OC will look like.
