Description
Final EDIT - As of today, this is the final version of the PDF/E-book sampler for Werewolf Tale. When the novel goes to print, which should be within the next few weeks, this will, barring any changes I am asked to make, be the sample version prospective buyers will be offered. I've also made the fonts about 1.5-3 points larger as opposed to the old version, which seems to work better with the 6X9 format.Had some trouble getting my choice of PDF converter to identify all the italics and special fonts in the text and retain them, but I finally got it all worked out. Same with splitting what I could get into the right sample length.
Werewolf Tale is almost here. Spread the word, and the website, and if you've been enjoying the story, Thank You.
www.werewolftale.info - All samples can be downloaded here, under the Ten Chapter Sample page.

If you want to purchase a copy of Werewolf Tale, it can be found on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in paperback, hardcover and digital form, and Kobo in digital form.

EDIT #4 - The current samples are from the most recent versions of the text, factoring in all notes from Sean's second read. This version has been sent to him for the final round of edits as of last week.
This sample also has all fonts from the physical copies embedded, so the digital version will look exactly like the print version. (The software I used was not registered, hence the 'Register' line early on.)
EDIT #3 - The samples now include all changes made to the story since I got Sean's Gerace's feedback. The iDevice format is gone since I can't find the option to make them on Scrivener anymore.
Otherwise, enjoy the updated Werewolf Tale.
EDIT #2 - The updated sample PDF/EPUBs now include the Prologue, nine chapters, and half of Chapter 10. This will be the final update until after the second copy-edit is done.
EDIT - The PDF/e-book files now cover the Prologue and Chapters 1-7. A lot of errors have been ironed out, and the number of e-book templates now include the Kindle Fire and the iPad.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was more red ink than I thought on the draft I got back from my copy-editor. About 30-35% of it was marked, but she gave me some great notes about where to cut out or improve the wording to help with the actions and tension.
From looking over the draft she sent back to me, this may be the final edit I do before giving it back to her for a proofread check. If I change enough prose and dialogue between this new version and the last one however, that may change.
For now, along with this updated sample of the first few chapters, I'm offering an E-PUB download of them which can be read on any device that accepts the format. This one was set up using the Nook HD+ as a template, but if you're using a reader that takes a different file type, let me know. I'll add those formats in another link and use them when the book is published.
Enjoy.

I really enjoyed this the character behind the story was far more interesting than most horror movie protagonists i actually wrote my book report on this story i hope more chapters are out there or on there way. I really enjoy the difference from most werewolf stories and i love the situation our protagonist is in at the end of the chapter(did i mention i would like to see more chapters)it was a very nice cliff hangar.one thing i would like to see in the coming chapters is for alexs friends to be more involved in helping alex out through his transformation

Thank you for the critique, rivet. (Hope your teacher/classmates got a kick out of what you wrote for the report.)
The rest of the story, pre-copy-edit, is on another website currently. That said, because so much of it has changed since the copy-edit, I will be releasing another batch of updated chapters once I get the second copy-edit back from my editor this month.
Otherwise, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at where the story goes regarding Alex's friends and family.

About halfway through this book and I'm finding one of the better werewolf books I've read. It just seems more real and believable then most.

Indeed. It still impresses me how well the artist conveyed that part of it.

This story has progressed so far in the time that i've been watching you, and it's been a pleasure seeing it get to the point where it's a full-fledged story ready to sell. heh, i think i might have read this on the first goaround and thought 'man this is interesting, but man this is rough'. now it's so nice i wish i had something comparable in my own works, but like everything things like this takes time. keep up the good work

Yeah, looking back on the first draft now is quite a showcase for how much the story has evolved, especially Shane being little more than a boogeyman at first.
Thank you for the feedback, and for keeping up with it for so long. It's always a pleasure to entertain you all.

Yeah, my cover artist did a great job on it. Pretty sure she'll get a kick out of seeing her work on a published novel.

Yeah but have to just draw with paper and pencil since I don't have a computer program to do stuff like this.

If Photoshop is out of the question because of price, and these days it very much is, give GIMP a try. It has similar features. PaintToolSAI is similar too.
I do remember hearing word of Photoshop CS2 being free to download a while back, though I don't know if that's because it's abandonware or if Adobe can't be asked to support the program anymore. Might be worth looking into.
That said, I wish DA had an alternative way of displaying PDF submissions. The images throw a lot of people off.

If it's literary and such, go for it. I've done the same several times before for other users.

Hello! I've been reading your literature for a quite of time now (probably about 2 years I guess? Meh, who cares) but I can't seem to understand (Imagine) Alex's house shape(map), his neighborhood and his hometown. So can I ask you you to draw it? It'll be great if you could! Thanks before.
P. S : This is a good story and the sequel is shaping to be good as well! I'll be looking forward to buy a copy of it if it's already being published (Although I'm not sure how, I live so far away from you :') ) *sorry for bad english? *

Glad to hear you've enjoyed the story for so long.
With regards to a map, I've thought of adding one to the final version, like most fantasy novels do, and I do have some cartography experience thanks to my time playing Pathfinder and other tabletop RPGs. Once I get some more feedback from Sean, I'll see what I can do to change the narrative for that purpose. Otherwise, I'll make one for the final release.
(I'll be shipping copies wherever my readers live, so all I'll need is shipping info if a physical copy is what you're looking for.)

Poor guy. You can almost fell the internal struggle of the character here. Looking at how peaceful the deer is though I can't say for certain if this is a real "beast" moment.

it still explained some things i wasn't understanding. like, this random girl Angela plays a big role for someone only seen in one chapter. and why is shane so touchy about her? now i know.
