Description My favorite Villains from Danny Phantom.

Freakshow and Walker. Especially Freakshow cause Jon Cryer voices him so well.

I use to love this show, but I can't watch it anymore without cringing. It had so much potential to be a superhero show but then the Fairly OddParents started slowly sinking in.

First season was sweet, second was AWESOME. Third could have been done better, but 'D-Stabilized' was good.

3rd season just seemed like a whole mess of BLAM's, i didn't even care for phantom planet, because it just didn't make alot of sense

ALOT. I could go on about Ultimate Enemy, despite the fact that its my favorite movie from the series

I thought of that movie bit as the time travel ripple affect deal where whenever someone goes around screwing with time it slowly alters the the first timeline, makes paradox's and both alternate Universe's and alternate realities.

Basic Si-Fi thesis for you there

The ultimate enemy of EVERY hero is his own DARKNESS, or something that would represent it. Someone just as powerful as the hero, who could very well be what the hero COULD have been

just so much that bugs me
the big one is
1. danny's parents died cause they were tied to some exploding boiler thing
2. the thing was only going to explode because he fired at it because box lunch was attacking
3. box lunch only attacked because clockwork put her in the past
4. clockwork was supposed to prevent dark dan's existence, but by interfering he actually created the guy. If he just sat back and did nothing, then everything would be fine(sans danny possibly failing the test)

also the only reason why his parents were tied to the damn thing was because dark dan put them there.

that and the fact that danny was separated from his ghost half. that's fine, but in identity crisis the same thing happened and ghost danny wasn't evil.

1: there are MULTIPLE stories about what originally happened. Here's an example:

VERY good story

2: Danny didn't have MASSIVE grief the first time. Without Danny's humanity to ground the grief, the ghost became blinded by emotion he couldn't control. He went mad, and...well, you know the story.

Ok but it didn't play out that way. It showed us that the ghost is innately evil, and that the human half is what kept it moral.
I mean it's a nice explanation, but the movie didn't play out well enough for it to work.

Look, the fact is, Danny and Phantom are one. You can't SPLIT them without SEVERE repercussions. And, let's face it, the Ghost Catcher works on a different principle than the claws.
I mean, the Catcher just duplicated Danny's body and put MOST of the ghost in it. Personally, I think there were still some ghost genes in Danny's body, but only like one or two. Danny's mind was also copied, but more like a split personality.

The claws COMPLETELY ripped the ghost genetics out of Danny. Something THAT rattling had major effects on the mind of the ghost. It wasn't Danny, not all the way. What morals came with him were immediately overshadowed by Plasmius' evil.

Frankly, there are a LOT of different theories. We could be doing this all night.

The way I see it, Dark Phantom is EVERYTHING Danny is not. Sadistic, cruel, merciless. The antithesis of the hero. Danny's worst nightmares brought to life. The ultimate incarnation of the darkness in his heart. Utterly evil and beyond complete redemption.

I don't think Dark and Danny will ever make peace. I think they will hate each other until Doomsday.

Ok now that makes sense.
However I think what didn't work was the humor. Everything was just cringe worthy, and as the FOP got more popular, the jokes started surfacing in the show. And it didn't work. DP started out as a superhero cartoon with some jokes here and there that fit the tone, then the slapstick started getting in there along with the puns and it didn't mesh well with the more serious parts of the show.
IF they ever do bring it back I hope they do it like before, keeping the jokes to a minimum

The jokes weren't THAT bad. It was the kind of sarcastic groaners you would hear out of Spider-man.

the sarcastic groaner i could handle, after all I'm a big fan of CD Barnes portrayal of spidey
but one that I cannot stand no matter how many times i hear it is the whole let the dogs in joke. Just...ughhhh

That in and of itself was a joke. Sam gave him a look the whole time. THAT was the funny part. You're just looking in the wrong place.

well I didn't find it funny. It just seemed too forced.
ONe joke I did enjoy were when he was trying to avoid the boogie jokes with Spectra. But then again it's all subjective

I know. I mean there's no other detail on his face, and since it's all white I just figured he wasn't human looking. That and I always imagined he was a very intimidating person, with looks to match.

I think your interpretation of Walker is dead-on. (pun intended)
He looks very intimidating.
