Description
The first time the plastic lawn chair fell into the tank Rodimus was still very young and small enough to swim through the lawn chair’s arms without incident. In fact it kept the hyperactive young mer busy for a few hours - to the relief of most of the WRC’s staff. Ratchet had not been impressed but the quiet quickly made up for it. He made sure it didn’t become a regular thing nipping, the urge to throw the chair into the tank, squarely in the bud. It didn’t stop the young mer from crying and pleading to play with it again. However, as Rodimus got older and inevitably bigger, he stopped asking for one to play with. Because chairs were for sitting on, not playing with.
That was, until one fine afternoon one of the student staff managed to ‘accidentally’ knock a chair into the tank. Promptly forgetting he was no longer the small mer that he had been all those years ago, Rodimus decided to try out the thing he used to do with the chair’s arms as a child. Leading to, what Ratchet would later call, the ‘logical result’.
A frustrated yell from the aquarium area prompted Ratchet to abandon his late, neglected lunch and bolt towards the sound. On arrival all the head veterinarian could do was laugh and reach for his phone. Rodimus had managed to haul himself up onto the platform that gave access to the main tank, head and right arm stuck through a plastic chair’s arm hole. The frustrated mer was attempting to extricate himself from the chair, but his wriggling had managed to get a pectoral fin caught through the other arm hole instead. Said fin was being flared in anger, instead of being flattened, meaning Rodimus could not get himself out. Not without help anyway. Ratchet’s sniggering caught Rodimus’ attention.
“Would you stop taking photos and help me?” Eyes narrowing to glare daggers at the human.
“In a minute. I haven’t got the right shot yet.” Ratchet gloated. “Got to make sure I get your good side for all your social network friends.”
Ratchet’s snaps would later turn out to be some of the WRC’s most popular images. And it wouldn’t be the last time Rodimus got stuck in the chair either.
When you’re a kid and the playground was so awesome and fun. Then the adult you goes and tries to have the same fun at the playground again, but this time your butt gets stuck in the swings because you grew up. This is what just happened to Roddy. His fishy butt got suck in a chair and it is glorious. A gift for adhesivesandscrap full-autopsy the-sparkbeat on tumblr. Getting him outta there won't be fun for him or Ratchet.

no it won't, but it'll probably highly entertaining for the interns... until Ratchet makes them scrub the tanks for a month.

He's very stuck. And help is busy taking incriminating photos of him being stuck. XD
