A year ago I wanted to cosplay as Kurtz for a comic convention but ended up going as Quicksilver instead. This year the Kurtz costume became a reality and here I am! I went to MCM Comic Con in London as Kurtz but of course no one knew who I was apart from my friends.
This is a costume I've wanted to do for a while but I needed to make the jacket by hand and I've never made anything clothes wise for myself before; only props like the alien hand for Wikus, who I went as one Halloween. With Mum's help, we made the jacket but it took a week. We got there in the end. Me, my fiancé and our friend Bella and her sister went out to do a photoshoot over the weekend and the Kurtz by graffiti photos are a result of that. More pics to come because my friend Bella cosplayed Kurtz' sister! I just need to make up a collage of them.

For those who don't know (and don't remember the tons of customs/fanart I've drawn of Kurtz, or the online comic I did), Kurtz is from a little known TV show by the name of Freefonix. Kurtz was the lead singer in the rival band known as Mantyz. His singing voice was provided by Justin Hawkins of The Darkness (who is awesome btw, I've met him!) and Kurtz is my favourite character.

I've also cosplayed Gambit but he isn't pictured here. He was a very simple costume to do. Future cosplays I'm thinking of doing include Rogue and Rukia. Some girls for a change lol! I always dress as guys. Its easy to pull it off since I've been mistaken for a guy on several occasions.
