From what I can see, the best way to improve your style is to use softer shadows. I can see the pencil strokes, and i can see how you shaded back and forth. Try to softly layer the pencil strokes (do NOT smudge) and let the shadows build naturally. Just try to think of it as sculpting on paper. If you take that approach, your portraits will look wayy more realistic than they already are. You could also use a bit more contrast in certain areas like the neck and chin.
Its good though, and you arleady have most of the basics of portaitures down pat. Just keep working on it, and youll definately improve as time goes on.

I would like to say Kudos! You did a great job at drawing her. I can agree with the others that it is recognizable. Some things that I would like to say are : it is really difficult to really portray a picture that has gone through major editing and airbrushing. So perhaps choosing actors or actressing (which you KNOW that they'll have gone through some SERIOUS airbrushing) aint the best choice, since you don't have much wrinkle definition as you would like. I mean, you do have the lines around her eyes, but if they had left it untouched, I bet you would have more. (Ugly people are really good subjects to draw! Old, ugly people! I tell yah! )
Either way, kudos to you once again!

Hmmm, although I don't think she looks much like Cameron (hey, I knew it was her from the thumbnail), I think the drawing is hi-quality. The mouth is great. Mouths are always a problem. The hat is really nice!

the light shading works great on the skin and I love the texture, the hat looks amazing,
the only thing I would say is the creases in her smile look like the have too much depth(slightly too dark) compared to the rest of the tone on her face. But who am I too judge, it's amazing, great job.
