Description
This is a painting I did of Jennifer Garner, using a reference photo. It took a lot of work, but I think it was worth it.25-30 hrs, photoshop + wacom.

ItΒ΄s really hard for me to distinguish this picture from a photo. You worked out so many microscopical details that I really have to believe you that the picture took you 25 hours and more, even if I think 25 hours are nearly too less. Especially exciting in the picture are ( beside the perfect similarity to the original Jennifer Garner ) the astonishing reflections on the chrom-parts of the motor-cycle. IΒ΄m just jealous.

Holy shit. I hope you're not offended by expletives because that is just...holy fucking shit.
You are insanely talented. Your detail is incredible. It's absolutely no surprise that it took 25-30 hours to complete this, other than that I can't believe you did it that quickly. This is such an amazing piece. The reflections are just...wow. No words can explain how good this is. Everyone should see your work and know how inferior they are to you. This is incredible work!
How large is the original?

Thank you so much for this comment, feels so nice to see someone likes the work you've put a lot of hours into And no, I'm not offended, it's only flattering
Comments from people like you keep me going and inspirated.
The original is 1368x1843. I'm going to start to paint on large canvases asap, if I can get myself a better computer, as it's already insanely slow to paint on canvases larger than this.
There's a downside to doing a piece this detailed though, it feels like going down a peg or two if I don't make the next piece as detailed, or even more...anyway, it's fun and challenging, even at the expense of destroying my hand while working on it.

I know how you feel about large canvases.
My computer goes far too slowly with anything over 2000x3000. It's also a bit difficult and takes some getting used to.
You shouldn't feel bad at all about doing a less detailed piece. It's called taking a break!
I would love to do something more detailed, but I tend to get lazy. I needed a good kick though, and I think you gave it to me. Your piece is amazing, and it shows that not being lazy and working very hard to create a good piece pays off.
