Description So many people talk about Jeanette from Alvin and The Chipmunks, and Irma from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looking so much alike, some even saying they're like "long-lost twins".

Surely they're exaggerating, aren't they?

Hmm... maybe not...

I'm sure there are, but I think just about everything in some way is either partially, or even directly influenced by other people's work.

I wonder though if this was intentional, or purely coincidental?

absolutely no idea. maybe some animator had a crush on jeanette, but didn't want to think he was a freak, so he made irma to make himself feel better.

Now why didn't I ever try that in developing some of my own characters? Everybody KNOWS I'm a freak!

ROFL!

Lol, I'm sorry, but that statement was just so unusual that it was hysterical, especially considering Jeanette isn't furry at all... neither are Brittany or Eleanor for that matter, lol!

And sleeping with Jeanette doesn't make you a... a... pinky?

Hey, an animal is an animal. Just 'cause it doesn't have fur, doesn't save ya from the furry stamp, babe. o.O; I tried that argument, and it failed epically. heh.

SimanetteFan In reply to captain-wedgie [2008-07-05 21:25:34 +0000 UTC]

Lol.

It probably would help if they did have fur though, then maybe that'd stop people from believe they're human, or like some kind of mutant human/chipmunk cross-breeds or something.

captain-wedgie In reply to SimanetteFan [2008-07-06 05:45:40 +0000 UTC]

if people think the chipmunks are human, they are in denial.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SimanetteFan In reply to captain-wedgie [2008-07-06 16:11:52 +0000 UTC]

Mostly because of lack of body fur, and how anatomically correct they are is why a lot of people assume The Chipettes are humans, lol.

I think what happened was some weird, lonely guy out there, who had a pretty bad love-life saw these adorable little precocious creatures, and tried to convince himself and other people that they're human, so...

Oh I don't know, the more I think about it, it weirds me out!
