I don't see Tony being anywhere near as bad as Jaques Schnee, but he's still bipolar and swings between "feckless hedonist" and "arrogant control freak" with a heavy topping of "arrogant narcissist" on both.
She could actually care about him as a father, stand him on a regular basis and work with him professionally, but my mind slotted this conversation between Liv Tyler and Bruce Willis in Armageddon into the MCU/RWBY-verse;

Weiss would still be mostly herself, maybe less prejudiced in season one with how Tony handles that. Whitley would still be a little shit but more of a snarky "better than you" attitude rather than an asshole to his siblings and others. Winter would still be army and Tony would ask "where did I go wrong? Is it because I had Cap babysit you that one time? This is all Steve's fault..."

Still, Tony would be a much better father than Jacques. Though he wouldn't be a parental role model considering it's Tony Stark we're talking about. However, they'd grow up being slightly better people than who raised them canonically. Yes, Tony is a asshole and he's not afraid to hide that about himself. However, he's an asshole who will not stand idly by and watch people suffer. He's still a hero. He's still an Avenger. He's a dick, yes, but a dick with a heart. Whether or not he decides to listen to that heart is a different story.Β
