In Depth: Kaz'mir is a collected, mellow individual who, although not afraid of violence, does not tend to resort to it unless greatly offended or attacked outright. Well spoken, succinct and polite, Kaz' is a more or less easy wolf to get along with and looks forward to socializing with others. He is especially receptive and is always glad to hear the ideas of others. His curiosity seems to know no bounds and it is not uncommon to find him discussing or debating a particular idea with others. That said, he is also quite questioning and he is unafraid to voice his own doubts or disagreements with others and their ideals. Perhaps more annoying, he has an almost obsessive need to express his opinions and he oftentimes will drag on discussions in an attempt to get his point across or prove himself right. Despite his reasonable disposition, Kaz' is not especially brave. In fact, he seems to act more extremely- either rushing into danger without much thought or freezing in fear. He is quite susceptible to the negative parts of new ideas, Ghosts for example, and will oftentimes act paranoid or jumpy because of these superstitious beliefs. Pre-Group History: Kaz' was born in a litter of two other pups in a distant Pack. His mother was an especially gentle she wolf, who spoiled her pups a noticeable amount. She spent most of her time nursing her pups and smothering her three pups with attention. Meanwhile his Father, while a kind enough wolf, always busied himself with Pack duties and thus did not play a prominent role in his pup's lives. These two different attitudes had a great impact with the shaping of these three young pups. Sasha, Kaz's sister, developed an especially girlish personality to catch her mother's easily held attention. Jazka, Kaz's brother, seemed far more content to trod along after his Father rather than participate in his siblings games. Kaz' fell awkwardly in the middle, never quite clicking with either parent the way his siblings did. That being said, his relationship with both parents and his siblings was constant and pleasant despite the emotional distance between them.

Kaz' grew into the Pack with less assurance than most others. He was the pup of an Omega couple and as a result did not have an especially promising future ahead of him. He grew up knowing the value of hard work, although he did not conform terribly well to his status. In a Pack where the hierarchy was enforced to a T, he was put in his place more than once for speaking out of turn or questioning the leadership. Although he meant no harm with his curious inquisitions, he found himself constantly annoyed with the strict criteria of the status quo.

His first notable test in life was presented when he met Evergreen. A beautiful tawny she wolf, Kaz' was drawn to her with what could only be described as puppy love. Although kind enough, Evergreen was born the second daughter of the Alpha pair, thus further up the totem pole than the more passive Kaz' could ever hope to climb. To his present embarrassment, it took him a long while before he realized this as he spent many months vying to get the attention of the young she wolf. Since hunting was his only real talent, during them he went out of his way to go after healthy, strong prey to set himself apart from his Packmates. This resulted in many shameful squabbles with angry deer and moose, which he lost. Quite often.

Kaz' finally saw his chance to define himself to his she wolf during the traditional hunting ceremony held once every spring, celebrating the coming of the new year. Omegas played a more or less minimal roll in the event, with most of the focus being put on the up and coming adolescents- one of the only chances Omega borns got to rise above their status. In his naivety, Kaz' sought to prove himself by going after a healthy buck deer. After the ceremonial howling announcing the beginning of the hunt, Kaz's memory becomes a bit fuzzy seeing as how he was thrown violently by the very buck he had attempted to catch just a short time later.

Kaz' awoke in the Shaman's den, where he found that he had not only made a complete fool of himself by attempting to show off, he had also managed to startle the herd and ruining the hunt for the rest of the Pack. Through a stroke of luck, he managed to walk away from the encounter with no more than a few nasty bumps and bruises. Ashamed and mortified, his embarrassment only grew when he was approached by none other than the very she wolf he had set out to impress. Evergreen spoke to him gently, telling him that she knew he fancied her. She was flattered, she said, but she already had a future mate and she was worried that his obsession with impressing her would cause him or the Pack real harm someday. Kaz' was left feeling more hurt emotionally than physically, despite her gentle attempt to let him down.

He kept his distance with the rest of the Pack after that, unable to stand the pitiful looks or teasing smirks on the other wolves' faces. Even his parents seemed unsure of what to do with him. The drought that came a month later seemed like a blessing in disguise. The waterhole dried up and the herds migrated further North than they usually did, depleting the usually plentiful stock of prey. When the Alphas announced that the Pack could not support their large numbers this season, Kaz' was one of the few wolves to leave voluntarily. He saw it as an opportunity to start anew and move past his failures. Bidding goodbye to a proud Father and a distraught Mother, Kaz' left the very next morning without saying his farewells to anyone else.

The next year of Kaz's life was a blur of passing scenery and travel worn paws. He travelled casually, not terribly concerned with his direction and taking the opportunity to learn himself inside and out. Although he struggled to bring down any kinds of large prey, he managed to get by, feeding mostly off rabbits and human trash. It wasn't until he stumbled across the Na"em Pack that he remembered just how much he longed to be around others again. Seeing a fresh start amongst the nomads, he was quick on the uptake to join their ranks. Longing to prove himself to them as a useful Packmember and satisfy his curiosity about his new culture.

Kaz' has only been in the Pack a week, and is trying to find his Song. He is concerned by their beliefs and is taking the matter very seriously, concerned that he won't be able to find his Song and truly fit into his new society.
