Bit of a ramble ahead!Been thinking a lot about voices since I did that faux character album for Subeta. It's not something we think about a lot given Felarya is expressed almost exclusively in a visual medium. In a Japanese anime, I wouldn't hesitate to chose little known voice actress Rieka Yazawa (myanimelist.net/people/11330/R… to voice Tarynn after her performance as Kon Futaba - strong, low and with frustration seeping into various words. So, to the character album! Although I like her voice in those songs they aren't the tracks I would choose to feature. Instead, I would choose a song by Mariko Honda from Nichijou and by Miyuki Sawashiro from Arakawa Under The Bridge. As character albums tend to only have four songs, two being karaoke versions, it would look something like this:

The inherent anger and frustration of those songs suit Tarynn to a tee. Just imagine those being sung by Rieka Yazawa, with the lyrics suitably changed and the Miyuki Sawashiro number extended, and that's the album! Please, tell me what voices you envisage for your characters - I'd love to know!

Huh, I missed this one the first time around, and I must admit I did a double-take when I saw Globfish in the comments. Then I saw the date.
Anywho, this is a very interesting premise overall, and now that you mention it, I do 'picture' my characters speaking in a very distinct fashion that probably doesn't quite fully translate to the written word. I may just have to do a 'my characters sound kinda like-' journal at some point, so thanks for the inspiration.

Oh right! The picture is fantastic as usual, with a wonderful sense of motion (even if she's not enjoying it) and your trademark lively expressiveness I've come to expect. Great work!

Well, in that one comic of yours, Crisis DID say Tarynn sonds "so miserable", so maybe something would fit! And jeez for Christ's sake, don't put Katy Perry, Tarynn has gravel in her throat, but sandpaper? Katy's speciallity!

Hehe- this is great, this is! I'm loving the completely off guard look in her eyes and her mouth! You're really good at capturing poses and making them look believable. This picture has a lot of fluidness and also, off course, shows off a lot of her character and not-so-great luck! I, in particular, really love the way you've done her hair. Those lines are really smooth and make the hair look as though it is really flying back from her face in strands. This is one of your best, I'd say- really lovely work!
And also- I love the GREEN-NESS!!

I think this is a funny idea, although I must confess I don't really get the whole voices thing. 
Not that there's anything wrong with the Japanese voices, I'm just surprised and interested to know why you came up with those, as opposed to English ones. I personally always imagine my characters speaking English, even though the actual language they speak is probably a non-existent one. xD
The actual picture is great. You get a sense of movement and personality across, and you do seem to have a bit of a talent for quite unorthodox poses.

Nono, I totally agree! Manga style has transcended cultural boundaries and I do imagine my characters speaking English. Thing is: as I mentioned in the description, this cover art was made based on a hypothetical Felarya anime being made, rather than the current tomes. If we're honest the only place open (for lack of a better word) enough to produce such a weird show would be Japan XP The other reason is that, to my immense regret, I'm not well acquainted enough with Western animation to think of a good English voice actor. But I am trying to find someone, honest!

Ah, well, I wasn't planning on making a series of album covers - this just seemed the most fitting thing to do given I was thinking about voices. But I'll certainly be doing some Anna fanart at some point!

I like trying to find voices for my characters too ... not easy though, specially when you try to think about it in several leanguages;
"this voice sounds nice in french ... but hmm, this one would fit in english .... in spanish ... japanese ... gah!"

Mmm I did struggle to find a mature enough voice from the range of high school anime I usually watch XP Yeah, that multi-lingual thing is so tricky! And as there are so many choices in each language it takes so long to finalise each one. Thank you so much for the comment though!
