Description
This is my entry for the RIFT create a collossus competition!criteria: water element, must be at least ten stories tall...

must look like it belongs within the elementary parameters

PLEASE LOOK IN CLOSE-UP VIEW
took over a week, ive not been counting the hours.
drawn with biro and coloured using 16 layers on macromedia fireworks... hope everyone likes it !

the competition said "must be at least ten floors tall" like a block of flats... i tried hard with this one
hope the judges are as thrilled and awestruck, im going to need the luck...

was aiming for a deep sea angler fish crossed with a remora eel kinda vibe to the head, the legs were based on the japanese spider crab though very loosely..
a few people have said it looks cute too lol

yeah i hear you, life is for living, not aiming toward a goal, whether it is a realistic goal or not, it should only be second after enjoying the life you are living!
many people think i am strange for thinking this but i feel that if everyone else thought htis way the world be a nice place to live in... you get it, and so do a few other artist type people around the world but for the most part people are just trying to get somewhere and forgetting who they really are on the way.

people are generally not willing to look beyond the pink glasses, it gives them something more to feel so they do not have to think about other people, only themselves.

also; I didn't see the water'ish elements at first, but when I zoomed into close-up wiev.. oh golly It is incredible... The way you merged the legs and torso with the waves are simply ingenious. Looks like it rises from the stormy seas, even on land.

hah yes,i accepted long ago this fact as my big brother is technically a lot better at drawing than me...
but on the other hand, i do not think in terms of how good or bad something is, or whether it is better or worse, im lucky because i see everything as parts of a greater whole, we are all parts of that whole, all of us very different and very needed in the grand scheme of things, but not one in particular can be special... as without all the others i would not stick out.,
without my work here someone elses would not stick out... we are all reliant on our own kind.
i am not special, i am simply human. i get this and so i wont let myself worry
