this makes me think of time and memories. in the center where the spiral is small is the starting point. as you ascend through time more and more memories are made and they become "bigger" than the old memories. and the older memories become "smaller" as time goes by. eventually they become so small you can no longer see them in your mind.

AHhh, I love this one. <3 The dark colors and the spikes jutting out make me think of daggers and blood almost, like the downward spiral into depression... And it also brings to mind a spiral staircase in a grand mansion with all these intricate chandeliers... I love it.
