Had some free time before class today so I doodled some of the already human characters (and whatever Schlemmer’s supposed to be…). Admittedly I’ve been a little disappointed with how non-cartoony the new human characters in the comics have been. I’d like it if they were pushed more towards the fun and exaggerated looks of the Unleashed NPCs.
I really liked that cute Von Schlemmer picture spiritsonic did awhile back. And Amanda Tower here is based a lot on JoeAdok’s Commander design.Amanda needs a little work but I like the other two.

I'm such a fan of the Gurihiru Unleashed designs for humans that nothing else compares. For me, ideally all the human characters would be in line with that style.

Really love how you've drawn all three of these characters. Though I'm terrible trash and just seeing Madonna & Amanda together here makes me want to ship them, whoops.

LOL I may or may not have been thinking about that while I was drawing Madonna next to Schlemmer. Most of my shipping tendencies boil down to: "these two characters' pictures are in close proximity to one another, therefore they would make a cute couple."
I think it's fun just to pair up random characters to see if they could work as a duo. Like with Relic and Eclipse. It didn't end up working at all, but it was fun to try. XD

To be fair, I don't think it's ever been established if von Schlemmer is human, cyborg, alien or whatever have you.
For all we know, Archie might call him a lab experiment from the distant future (even more so than Silver) or even their version of a Time Lord.
We're gonna find out soon, though.

One of the things I know I need to work on with my gijinkas and other humans is pushing them to be a little more zany and unique. The Unleashed NPCs designed by Gurihiru are all so distinct and full of personality, they've been a huge inspiration for me! x3
