Dunno, wanted to draw someone I hadn't thought about yet.

Slowly, accidentally starting to like this loser. He's growing on me, at least.

Most of the Black Arms only look like lumpy space tumors with legs, but Eclipse reminds me of some kind of reptile. I wasn't sure what to do for his human version, but I wanted to try making the Black Arms have reptilian features. Or maybe just Eclipse. I dunno how I'm gonna do this when I get to the others, yet.

His "hair" sometimes looks more spiky and upright and sometimes long and straight depending on which drawing you look at, and that somehow found its way into my design even though it's not canon. When he's relaxed, his frills lay flat in an ancient Kuzco/Moses hairstyle. When he's agitated or violent, they splay out and look more full. I'm not sure how well it works for him, but I like having his hair be a bit more interactive and alien-like.

Because of the hair, I started thinking way too hard about Moses/Ramses parallels between Shadow and Eclipse. I haven't picked who's who yet. They're both basically telling each other to let their people go. And either devouring humanity OR nuking a whole comet spaceship is kinda like locusts. Maybe slightly more dire. Anyway, elements from various versions of the story of Moses made it's way into his design. Mostly Ramses' costume from The Ten Commandments.

Like a dope I forgot to make the baby Black Oak into a humanized baby. But I'll have to come back to lumpy space baby another day.

Yeah, I'm still really figuring Eclipse out. But this was a fun start.
