More Eye of the World doodles as I go along, still figuring out some character designs. I’m on Chapter 4 now, so I have some catching up to do. These are some rough character sketches I did from Chapter 1.

Rand- Like the one on the left better, more what I had in mind from the start. Boyish faces are very hard for me apparently. Did some fiddling with the hairstyle too, last one was too plain for my tastes.

Mat- Mat is plucky and adorable, and for that I’m concerned about his longevity in this book. :I I imagine him to have a more expressive face, more scraggily. Giving him a more 'hip' hood from Rand's to show he's the prankster. (I mean like everyone in this book seems to have a hooded cloak, I gotta get creative with the hoods). Might switch it up from the navy blue later on. I just really like to color-code my heroes.

Tam- Haven’t completely figured out what he’s supposed to look like yet, nothing’s really clicked in my head. The whole village seems to treat him like some kind of DILF tho so I’m trying to find the right balance between old and handsome.

Mayor Bran al’Vere- Basically from the minute he started talking I pictured him being played by Jim Broadbent. Also picture him having some pretty fetch clothes, but because times are rough, they’re mostly hand-me-downs and their colors are starting to fade.

Very excited to draw pretty dresses in the next chapter.
