In the God of War novel apparently Hermes has it super bad for Athena. Showing up half naked in her bed room and literally asking if she'd go a round with him.He is naughty and I adore him.

To us it is, but back then it wasn't a big deal to the gods. Different cultures, different time period. Ya love Hermes right? Then love all his aspects and traits. Athena was a beautiful, intelligent goddess who he couldn't have, and nothing drove those gods crazier then wanting something they couldn't have.
And it's not like Hermes didn't sleep around and have kids with his other relatives, because he very much did. All the gods who weren't bound by their oaths to stay virgins did....Except maybe Hepheastus but that's only because he was AWESOME and no one wanted to sleep with the ugly dude v.v Poor bubby

Nope, Kratos was a god who was brother to Nike, Bia and Zelus who were all winged enforcers of Zeus. Sometimes he was a titan though.

Becuase Kratos is a mary sue, just think about it. He's a undefeatable son of a god who has a tragic passed and is inconsolable. I like to theorize that the people who wrote god of war failed greek history in high school and want to get back at the gods who didn't let them pass their class.
