Wow, these are very different. So much that I didn't know which one to comment on first. I almost missed the birds on the water ....
The trees look really grand and the way you have put them in the frame with the tallest being in the centre is very appealing. This is such a cool effect ... the reflections in the water remind me of watercolour paints on water soaked paper. I love that about it ... as well as the range of colours. Is that a person on the other side?

yes that is a person on the other side..
sometimes I feel as though I am tricking you.. all of my results are completely unintentional.. I just walk along and see something.. and think.. well not really think.. feel/react.. and take a picture.. check if it exposed correctly.. take another.. move about.. etc..
"oooh pretty" is about all the thinking I do when I am photographing..
I compose in the moment.. I don't really survey my sites like I am supposed to.. that may be the step I need to take to move my photography to "the next level".. but it seems rather soul-less to me..
cheers darling

Yeah I can understand that. At the very least you can say you are working from your instincts ... "ooh pretty" is a good indication towards that. It's all about what you think looks good or interesting in the moment, and in the end, they are going to be the photos that people will have to think more about. I like it when you are really into one of your photos because you always respond to comments more enthusiastically and it gives an insight into your personality, plus, adds so much more to the meaning of the picture.
I know I respond to photos in my comments in a more constructive way, but inspiration-wise ... I prefer the ones that were inspired by simpler emotions than some kind of pseudo- political (or whatever) idea placed upon the image. I don't like modern paintings for that reason. The problem is I'm getting some negative waves from some people who feel that I should be doing that kind of stuff. A friend of my father's wants to take me to Tate modern (a gallery in London) to convince me to do that kind of work, he's somewhat of an art critic and thinks I'm wasting my time with all this other stuff. In some ways, I find that soulless. Sorry, I'll stop there ... I've gone completely off topic ...
Anyway, don't worry you are not tricking me! It's just what I see in your images.
Until we talk again .. have a brilliant weekend handsome.

well I would say if it was a political movement or ideology that you felt strong enough about.. and or was something that evoked strong emotions within you.. it would be perfectly fine to do some work from that source.. but anything else is forced/soul-less propaganda.. like an advertisement u didnβt want to do.. but itβs your job..
I am no artist.. really.. not like you.. so.. I donβt even know what I am talking about.. hehe

Yes, I do agree. I think I made it sound like my opinion was more black and white on the issue ... like I completely disagreed with modern art ( I think mainly I was venting my frustration ... I'm over it now ). Of course, if there is a cause you are supporting or you really believe in something ... then it's completely acceptable to be inspired by it. I think you stated it well. Much better than I did ...
Thanks for calling me an artist ... Hehe .. you may not know what you're talking about, but I understand you ...

Lol! Of course it is. I'm sure a lot of people don't know what I'm going on about most of the time. I know, you just start typing right and sometimes it's a load of waffle! Hehe.
