Basically almost every attack that Ike can dish out has high knockback (that means that if it hits the opponent, they'll go flying off of the screen). Ike's forward smash (the one where he lifts up his sword and brings it down in an arc), shows his knockback pretty well. If you're caught in it at 30%, you'll probably go flying.

That's why people call Ike cheap. They call him cheap because a lot of his attacks are powerful and have high knockback. But whoever calls him cheap should suck it up and learn to dodge his attacks better instead of complaining about it...|3

Yep. What Ike lacks in speed, he makes up for in power. >3>
I used to be one of those people that calls Ike cheap...but that was back when the game first came out. I don't call Ike cheap anymore because I learned about game mechanics and how to dodge better. |3

God, I love Ike's power.
The forward smash you were talking about, i get this amazing feeling inside whenever i use it and the up smash too. So much strength behind it, i love the noise it makes.. i end up using it when i dont need too... just to watch him swing.

Ike's my second main and I love IkeMarth, so we're both almost in the same boat here when it comes to Ike-obsessiveness. x'D

Since I play in tourneys, my forward smash doesn't always hit...but I love it when my opponent accidentally runs into it. *w*

Have you heard of a video called "Thee Ike Spike"? It's a video made by one of the best Ike players. o3o

How can anyone not like IkeMarth?! lol.
I was a little unsure of it at first, but reading fanfics and looking at so many different artworks really changed my mind.

I usually just play against the CPU on a weak level, they run into it all the time I dont get much competition elsewhere though.

Ooh, no i've not heard of it, can i find it on youtube?

I'm itching to play some Brawl now!

I know the maker of it. He's awesome and he promised to help me improve my Ike (I promised to help him improve his Marth...lol. I main Marth)...but he rarely plays Brawl nowadays. ;.;

IkePit scares me... it looks so wrong. The others you mentioned i've accepted... kind of(i adore Soren), but Ike and Marth are made for eachother They're just perfect!

That video is awesome! I feel incredibly inferior now I thought i was good with Ike, but i would get my ass handed to me there. Theres things that i've never seen Ike do before... i only have my brother and the CPU to learn from. i need to youtube more! That guy is amazing.

lol |'D Looks like we're in the same boat...IkePit scares me as well...but my main reason being that I'm not into shota...
And tbh a lot of the IkePit I find looks...shota. x.x That and a bunch of IkePit fans that bashed IkeMarth (back when Brawl first came out) drew me away from IkePit. I was defenseless and nobody liked IkeMarth a lot. x_x Some people that did like IkeMarth migrated to IkePit because people kept going, "IkeMarth sucks D<" ;.; But I stuck to my OTP, and I'm glad that I did...TT^TT I'm happy that all the pairing bashers died down...

OTL...he's amazing, isn't he? That's how I felt too while I was watching him. x'D
Even though I main Marth and won some tourneys...I felt that Sito (the name of the Ike player in the vid) can pwn me easily. |'D But I just kept practicing and practicing...with both Marth and Ike. |3 Every time I come across people who play like that...now I have the urge to play against them instead of backing away. Even though winning feels oh-so-good, I like losing to good people. *3* You can learn a lot from them.

I also have a soft spot for people who are main and are pro with Ike. >w< I'm friends with the best Ike in my state. |3

I'm not a huge fan of Pit in general. Maybe if he didnt look like a 12 year old school kid with wings and he looked nearer to the original Kid Icarus i might like him... possibly.
Grr to the IkeMarth bashers! I can't see how anyone can find anything wrong with them, but thats probably just me being obsessive again. They're a match made in video game heaven.

I've been trying to practice more with Ike and Marth... and squeezing a little Link practice in too. I just need time, life would be easier without a job! I think i need to play against higher level opponents. I agree, its good to lose when you can learn from it

Seriously. x.x Sigh. I didn't mind IkePit...I could've cared less, but then everybody started bashing Marth and IkeMarth for it, and I grew not to like it at all. TT^TT I don't mind Pit, either...I'm not a huge, HUGE fan of Pit like some people are, but I don't hate Pit (I have two Kid Icarus OCs, lol). They go, "NUUUU. IKE NEEDS TO BE WITH PITTU. NOT MARTHA. MARTHA HAZ ROI/MARTHA CAN GO DIEZ." Also, y'know...everybody makes Pit look so innocent and super-uke when he's really cocky and determined. He can blush here and there, but super-uke? GAH. D'||
There are a lot of Marth haters in the Smash and Fire Emblem community (they think he's a gay prissy fag that likes purses and wears high heels and crap =.= ), so that might be why people are so anti-IkeMarth. ;.; I rarely come across Ike haters. Ike is loved. Marth...you either hate him or love him. It's like, "Alright, I know you hate Marth. I get it. Can you stfu? You're making your side look butthurt." y'know? ;.;

If I find time, I should try and find a way to record my matches with my computer (since recording on Brawl is only 3 min. =A= ). We should play sometime if you have wi-fi. I can show you some tricks. But it'll have to be during the summer when I have a wii. |'D;

Mmm, Marth should be given a chance by everyone. Pesonally, i find he is one of the best to play as and i genuinly think he's a brilliant character in both Smash Bros and Fire Emblem. But yeah, i know what you mean, it's love or hate with Marth... he's like Marmite! Marthmite? heh.

That'd be awesome to play you I'll try to find my Brawl code... i had it somewhere! I've not practiced for a while, i played Path of Radiance instead and then i discovered Death Note and been reading that all too much! Will get more Ike practice though!
