Aight, this is where I start to distinctly deviate from source material with the Bishops.

While I was doing research on squids, I found out that squids don't have external ears, but they instead have organs within their head which uses vibrations picked up by the mass of their main body.
So, given this, I decided to change the nature of Kallamar's bandages. Instead of him missing any ears per-se, he instead got his head sliced to kingdom come, severely hindering his ability to process vibrations. Though he's able to communicate with his siblings just fine, and he can speak directly to his followers without issue, he often has issues trying to hear on a normal basis.

The fact that this also hindered his ability to hear possible danger did no wonders for his propensity to spook.
