Likes:
-Helping living beings: if there’s anything or anyone that needs some help, Ezekiel will be more than glad to offer his, regardless of the circumstances.
-Food: Ezekiel doesn’t precisely like food, but the feeling that comes with it, it fills up the void within himself and that makes him feel good for some time.
-Receiving attention: He loves being praised, it doesn’t matter for what, if the compliment is honest it’ll keep him happy for a good while.
-The happiness of others: When Ezekiel is surrounded by happy people he feels happier too, and if he’s responsible for someone’s happiness that makes him feel even better.

Dislikes:
-Sinners: Just like any angel, Ezekiel feels a strong dislike for anybody that has sinned in their life. However, he also believes in their redemption.
-Showing off: Despite loving compliments, he doesn’t like to seek them, he thinks such a behavior is unbecoming of an angel.
-Violence: Ezekiel just can’t stomach it, it doesn’t matter if it’s real or in a movie, seeing people hurting each other makes him very uncomfortable.

-Kind and caring: if a friend of his is having a bad day he’ll do anything in his power to make them happy again, whether it’s cooking something nice for them or hugging them until they feel better, he’ll always be there for a friend
-Observant: he’s very aware of his surroundings, if something’s off he’ll notice immediately. This also applies to other people and animals, he can tell when they’re sick or how they feel very quickly (this is also thanks to his powers).
-Pacifist: Ezekiel is against any form of violence and would never use it to fix an issue. He tends to avoid conflict altogether or resort to diplomacy if said conflict cannot be avoided.

-A bit too selfless: Ezekiel takes care of others so much that he often forgets about taking care of himself and his mental health. He claims that other people’s happiness is all he needs, but not even an angel like him can live solely out of making others happy; he just doesn’t want to talk about himself to others (unless asked to) because he sees that as selfish.
-Insecure: Ezekiel has always struggled to see the value of himself and his work; he always feels like he isn’t enough, or that he hasn’t done enough. Despite generally being happy, Ezekiel has some moments of uncertainty stemming from his constant need of approval and lack of self confidence; in this, he’s a bit of an abnormality compared to other angels, who have innate high self esteem and despite being very critical of themselves, know when they’ve done a good job and don’t have the need for anybody else to tell them that.
Ezekiel is a comfort eater: whenever he feels his insecurities crawling on his back, he drowns them with whatever he can get his hands on and keeps on eating until the bad feelings stop bothering him, then he promptly falls asleep. This is another anomaly in his angelic behavior, since food or sleep aren’t necessary for an angel.

-Disappointing people: Ezekiel’s worst fear is being considered a disappointment by anyone; it would damage his self-esteem very deeply and it would take a really long time to forget about what happened.
-Physical pain: For a less serious fear, Ezekiel is scared of being hurt and does everything he can to avoid dangerous situations that might leave him with bruises or scratches; sure, he could heal them afterwards with his powers, but they will hurt anyway until they’re completely gone and he does NOT want to endure that.

Talents: As far as talents go, Ezekiel is a jack of all trades; being an angel makes him naturally good with most mundane things such as cooking and keeping his house clean. He’s also a pretty good singer and can play a couple of musical instruments (lyre, guitar and piano), but that’s mainly due to his education as an angel.

-Immortality: In his aetherial form Ezekiel is completely immune to ageing, physical harm or illnesses. In his corporeal form he’s much more vulnerable, but is still unable to die just from old age.
-Healing touch: this is Ezekiel's signature power, he can heal anything that he touches, whenever he wants to, but the bigger the damage, the more energy it’s going to require to heal completely.
-Light manipulation: Ezekiel can manipulate already existing light, he can change all of its properties (intensity, propagation, direction, frequency and wavelength). This power can also be used to destroy, but he refuses to do so.
-Angelic kiss: it is said that whoever is kissed by an angel will experience the most blissful feeling possible, a wholesome sensation of happiness that is capable of calming anyone down and purify from sins. If used irresponsibly it will lose its effectiveness.

Backstory: Ezekiel, like every other angel, was born from Heaven's light, but it was apparent from the start that something was off with him. He seemed to be in constant need of being praised and reassured that he was doing a good job, an abnormality since angels are always very confident and independent from the moment they’re born.

In an attempt to fix this habit of his, Ezekiel was assigned to Michael, a Seraphim part of the Angelic Council, who supervises the educational process of young angels, helping them discover their signature power and develop their innate talents even further.

Under Michael’s supervision, Ezekiel quickly showed proficiency in healing living beings, which, albeit not being that surprising, given his caring nature, was still a rare find among angels, since most signature powers often focus on creation or destruction rather than regeneration.

However, no matter how much time Michael spent to build up Ezekiel’s confidence, nothing seemed to work and he ultimately decided that it wasn’t worth to keep working on something that was never going to develop, especially because despite his lack of confidence, Ezekiel always did a good job in fulfilling his duties. So the Seraphim abruptly stopped giving this extra support to the young angel and began giving him the same treatment as the other angels.
This was a grave mistake that ultimately made Ezekiel feel like he wasn’t good enough anymore.

After that, Ezekiel pushed himself harder and harder in order to receive some praise again, but that never happened, no matter how much effort he put into his job, this eventually led him to his binge eating habits, since food was something that actually helped him feel better about his life.

The council wanted to put a stop to that blatant display of gluttony immediately, but Michael did his best to delay that, trusting that Ezekiel was going to regain control eventually. After all, he was still fulfilling his duties, so not all hope was lost.
But ultimately, the Ophanims got tired of waiting and ordered Michael to punish Ezekiel for his sins.

Goal:
Finding his happiness: This is a goal that Ezekiel is quite ashamed of, usually an angel’s goal would be more on the lines of “dedicating their entire life to serve the Council flawlessly”, but Ezekiel deems his happiness more important than that and wishes to find what will truly make him happy forever.
