Description Drew this for since he gave me his Portal Porter picture when we traded some model train stuff.

This was some kind of Porter something when it was built.

Not sure what KM is for.

Do you know if there is a model of this or where I could find more info about it?

It's something I just made up as I drew it, then sent the drawing to a friend.

Yeah, and I love adding random parts until they don't even look like anything particular XD

"KM", Klondike Mines?

Quite and odd looking little steamer here. And mean no offonce, but I would classify this as an "Ugly Duckling That Never Grew Up".

It's got quite a bit of "overhang" in the front there. It makes me wonder about it's stablity.

Maybe, but I couldn't bring myself to make it a 2-4-0. It looks balanced enough to me. There's nothing all that heavy past the front driver.

BAHAHA, the implication being that no one even knew what it was WHEN it was built. (Maybe no builder wanted to live up to it-- 'cept it's got the big ol' Porter plate on the side!)

What a fantastic display of down-to-earth (literally, with those wheels) homeliness-- it almost looks like it should have a lead truck up there. Gotta love the precarious perch of the saddle tank... I can imagine this on a Northwestern logging line somewhere.

I also must point out that the texture work on that wooden cab is beautiful.

I added the Porter plate last because I thought it needed it XD

I maybe would have added a lead truck but I liked the awkward look it had to it.

Thanks, I really like how the cab looks too
