Man great cover and great colors.
Look foreward to seeing you back on the book.
Even though I am digging the hell out of Frazier Irvings work.

Awesome job!!! Very impressed. Loving the Bat-sig transparency effect and the overall job you did on this! Was the Bat-sig originally in the pencils or did you add this in as an after thought? Looking forward to seeing more of your top-notch work. And just out of curiosity, do you have any advice for aspiring colorists?

The Bat-signal was not there. I needed something to help the figures pop from each other so I thought of throwing it on there.

Love how you got the mistiness of the signal in the sky, makes a great background.

Really nice work! You use more brush work when you color in Quitely...right?

Robin's face looks a little chubby. I think his mouth isn't low enough.

I'm going to guess by your username that you did the colors, correct?

Can't blame you then, I suppose. It was interesting to get a response anyway. It's not every day you get to exchange words with a comic book artist.

I see. That's a little unusual for the more popular artists on this site. What's it like working on comics?

Love it!! Deadlines get you sometimes, but I enjoy doing it.

I can imagine. I hated having deadlines for drawing projects in college because sometimes I would simply not have enough time to finish something or get an idea for what I wanted to do.
What program do you use for your digital art, if you don't mind me asking?

I need to get a tablet someday. Does it really make that much of a difference?

The best I've done with Photoshop is this [link] and I used a mouse for it. It really started to hurt after a while.

Wow-That's crazy-good! Get yourself a tablet. Using the mouse is like trying to draw by taping your pencil onto a real mouse.

I really appreciate the compliments there. I've always wondered how a tablet works, exactly; how do you move the reticle without actually drawing? Do you press a button on the tool, or...?

It works pretty much like a pen or pencil on paper.

Hmm, I honestly don't know why I never thought about it like that. I was always thinking of it as if you needed to move the mouse, but I suppose tapping it functions as clicking. I feel really stupid. =/

don't worry about it. I used to hate the old tablets and now I can't work without 'em

Huge--like 12" x 12" on a 14" x 16" with a rubber surface. They were great for taking naps on, but not for drawing on.

Ha ha I didn't know that. I'll bet they were even more expensive back in the day if they were so enormous. I don't even know how you would set something like that up if you're trying to look at a computer monitor.

Awsome pic, Robin looks like he's about to beat some ass.
