Playing with funky ship designs in side view..... I like how some of the design elements came out, but... it feels like it's stuck in the background, or the background needed to be less harsh. Hmmm.... painter 9.0 speedpaint again.Related content

I love this one, especially the orange lights on the ship itself. The contrast on the ship itself could be a bit higher and the tonal choices are a bit too similar to the background right now. I'd say the easiest way to fix that would be to lighten up the dark blue in the background so that the ship pops out more, but the choice is yours. If you don't mind my asking, how long did this one take you?

Yea, I think you're right about the blue, I actually did the sky first and then decided to add a ship design after I had done it, not the best way to do things, never got it to mesh. I think I spent around 45 minutes on it... and that was mainly messing with the background actually.. the ship itself was probably like 10 minutes (very simple two tone process for the most part).
