Ok, I sat down and did another page this afternoon. Using Painter 9, etc. The main thing to note is that I'm considering doing the text and bubbles by hand, which may be a terrible idea... but it does make it feel more like art to me, so I'll see how it goes. I like how the sky and and the ocean blend into one another. Not only is it beautifully done, it gives this sense of dreaming; it's as if I were actually looking down a bottomless pit of blue, an infinity that falls short of tranquility.

the bubbles look great. they don't really contrast against your painting and try to hog the spotlight, so it works for me

Well, about the text, many great comics use hand-drawn text and bubbles just for the same thing you're thinking about using it. So keep it up I say. ;D

WOW I'm loving it! Great designs and beautiful colours! My only gripe are they black lines underneath the clouds, I like the horizon 'line' but I reckon the cloud ones distract and the image would look cleaner without them.
Anyway, great stuff! Definate fav from me!

Under pens: scratchboard tool for hard lines, thick and thin brush for general painting.

somehow i do lik these serious of comic works... and i hope that can set a future standard for most, if not all comics... ^^ nowadays comic / manga artists are just too lazy on the shadings and details i think... (come on it's the 21th century man, and we have comps)
