Though I am not much of a digital artist...actually, I'm no where close to being called a digital artist - I will try my best to write a fair critique for this splendid piece of artwork. Let me first say that I absolutely love your concept. With the sun's rays spreading out throughout the paper and the flow of the shadowy moon wolf, it's definitely very creative and aesthetically pleasing. But here is some details that I noticed and some tips that I would recommend to you.
When I first looked at this picture, I hardly noticed the wolf on to the side. The only thing that helped me realize that it is indeed a wolf was the eyes, they themselves were also a bit hard for me to notice as well. I'm really not sure if this was the style that you were going for, but if not then I would recommend you to add a bit more contrast between the wolf and the background (possibly by making the wolf a lighter shade of blue or by making the eyes a more piercing color like green or something). Also, this is just my personal opinion, but I think that the straight vertical lines at the bottom are kind of killing my vibe. What I mean is that while I was enjoying the flowy and graceful details of the waves (which I am absolutely in love with, btw) - the vertical lines kind of stick out a bit to much and when I finally reach the bottom of the piece, the mood kind of just dies off. I don't know, that's just what I thought.
But in conclusion, I find this piece to be absolutely lovely. Your originality and creativity are key points in this artwork, maybe a bit of work on your technique, but through and through it is very well executed e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I love the way you mix cold and warm colors and also the smooth lines. This reminds me of another picture you made, Bringeer of the night, if I am right. This image carries emotion and can open the doors of imagination. I am glad that you are keep making your great contributions even with a busy schedule.

Well whenever you come to the USA then I'll put you to work!! You can help me harvest grapes, pomegranates, apricots, cherries, apples, blackberries, strawberries, peaches, oranges, figs, pistachios, and walnuts! Then you can paint a mural on the side of my workshop too! Hehe but no little girly images. I'll need knights, dragons, castles, soldiers and battles. No little girlies in princess dresses.

well, add few gooseberry bushes and raspberries and I'm your man
err, woman actualy - yeah, seems like my kind of work
but it makes me wonder how big is your garden
as long as I can do castle and dragons I'll be happy bunny
prefer those to princesses [unless princesses are wearing shiny armour
and wield sharp sword]

KnottyMorningWood In reply to sintel16 [2015-02-09 22:04:51 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm gooseberry? Yess I need some of those and raspberries too! I have elder berries, two bushes, they are pretty good but I should get Ligon berries, gooseberries, goji berries and raspberries too! Good idea.
Well, my garden is pretty big for one person to handle for sure. Oh I have goats, and I want alpacas and I am getting emus this coming year I think.
Ohhhh there is plenty of room for you to do castles and dragons and of course battle princesses are wonderful! With shields and swords and armor! I just can't have girly stuff like dresses and rainbows and unicorns because this is like a manly farm/ranch. Everything has got to be manly and tough! Hehe :*)

oh yes, I forgot blackcurrant
elderberries, hm
have you ever tried to make elderflower cordial? - good stuff
My grandma used to have goats - those with brown and black patches are the best for milk
she had to 'downgrade' when my Granddad died, because she couldn't handle cows any more
but I'm soooo jalouuuuus
I want a garden of my own, and when I finally get it , I will definitely be painting mural on the
garden walls
hihi, I will sneak some tiny girly fairies in yours if I have chance

Hmm no I have never tried to make that. Currants are certainly good!
Hehe I am glad I have something to make you jealous. It means I have something you like. :*)
Garden murals sound fun and lively! Iam sure your garden will be very beautiful!!! In fact I know it will.
If you are gonna sneak tiny girly fairies in mine you will have to be very crafty and sneaky for sure. Hehe You're so funny!

oh, then you should try - It is really good
I make it every year - collect the flowers from the banks of Thames
ha, if only I ever will have it, I'll make it beautiful - I love working with plants
hmmm, I sure am crafty and sneaky with my murals
I managed to sneak in few unknown fairy tales in the current one
sneak sneak, tiptoeing quietly like a cat
you won't even notice they are there
...until it will be too late

You make me laugh!! I really hope you have a big giant beautiful garden with huge walls or fences to paint your hearts dreams!!! And big glass windows with lots of light to paint your oh soo beautiful scenes!! Implant this hope deep in your heart and let it take root! Think of it always, write down the things you WILL do and it WILL happen because they energy you put toward it will not come back in vain! Ohh gosh I can just imagine it!!! A glorious place of wonder and life! I will tell you, I live in an old house now but I am going to build a new house on my property and tear this old one down. Some things I want in my new house are real stained glass windows and in other windows I am going to hang leaded glass crystals in the windows to create prisms that reflect rainbows allover the walls when the sun hits them just right. I want a large solid copper claw foot bathtub and copper sinks. I already have the plans for my new house drawn by a draftsman. I want spiral staircases, a library, a carving room with a giant bay window and a giant rock ffireplace where I willalso have a wood fired pizza oven and II'll build a large tree log mantel around the fireplace. Oh yeah and a real grandfather clock that looks all cool and chimes and rings on certain hours. I love bells ringing!
Hmmm hidden girly fairies! I'll have to keep a close eye on you I see that!!
All this talk is making my imagination see details in my mind's eye that makes me feel all happy and good. I should like to try your cordial. :*)!!!

wait, wait..
are you sure you not talking about the house I'm going to build?
definitely library and spiral stairs and fireplace and yeah, my own workshop
hmmm... yeah, will definitely do it if I win lottery
and be able to afford to live wherever I want
but, yes, I believe you can pull towards yourself the good things and the bad things
with the right attitude and energy, so, who knows I'm certainly ready
the cordial - I can give you recipe for it if you want,
otherwise you would have to travel all the way to uk
or Poland - my mum makes it better

Sorry for the delay! I've been gone up in the mountains carving with a chainsaw!!
Hmmm maybe your future house and my future house will look similar? That would be cool! Will yours have a bonzai garden and a Koi fish pond? Because mine will.
I think I'd rather taste your cordial myself instead of getting your recipe!

don't worry, I was traveling also- went to poland for christening
was going home today but there was a problem with the plane and
we are waiting for a new plane and still on the airport after already
2 hours spent on the freezing plane
the good thing is that they have wifi here so I can use internet
so I decided I can have a look on DA
well, I definitely want the pond with little bridge, but not sure what kind of fish I want there, if sny, because I have cats and you know what they do to fish
I would love bonzai garden, but was thinking more about this zen garden places, you know, the ones with sand and stones in certain places
what I will definitely have is an apple orchard
and spacey loft with those stained glass or crystal windows
and once I'm on it, it would be mice to have a little wine yard
ehhh
I need to win lottery soon

Well I hope the latter part of your trip gets better than freezing on a plane! I love travel! I've done quite a lot of it. I hope you had much fun.
Hmmm a pond with a bridge? That sounds very pleasant indeed and perhaps a rock wall with a pump that produces a water fall? I imagine my Koi fish pond enclosed in a rock courtyard incorporating my bonsai garden with the trees on odd and fantastical pedestals surrounding the pond and a large hammock nearby big enough for two people to lay and swing on together, I am hoping on day that I encounter the second of the two people. It will be far to big for just one person. Awww a rock and sand Zen garden? Awesome too!

well, it got bit better - we were sent back to the terminal, so at least it was warm.
well, 5 hours delay - I got home around 6 in the morning, but at least I'm back
I do love travelling as well - already have been in few places, but there is so many I still want to see
in fact, I'm just applying for a visa to States
hopefully summer holiday we'll travel there
hmm, waterfall, I wouldn't mind also, yeah if my garden will be big enough
and hammock would be nice, or a swing - love swings
and I want a tree house too
I'm sure you will - there is a chinese proverb saying that there is an invisible red thread that connects
people destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. they say that this thread
may stretch or tangle, but never break, so I say, sooner or later it will happen
