Ok ok so it's not quite a speed paint at about 2 hours, and i look at it and wonder where two hours worth of work went into it xDI did say i'd try a 'realistic' portrait of Jack after receiving this piece of awesomeness:
And this is what ya got xD
Looking at my last attempt at realism compared to this, it's not that bad going i guess in terms of improvement, but i need a hell of a lot more practise. wtf!

I like the eyes! Nose and hair got very good too
The skin is great and also the spreckles of the background are ^^
I just think the mouth got a bit too broad, but the shape of the lips look nice!

Yes, it sure is. I'm sometimes quite good at it but sometimes not. It's much eaiser with a photo of a real person than trying to make up how a character would look if he/she was real. I guess the picture I did of Jack was semi-realism or something.
