Description
Now this is one of those drawings that you continuously work on and off with, and you want to finish it, but you don't feel like it. Well, this was one of those drawings.
I have been on and off with this drawing for months, and this morning I decided to set myself down and finish it just to make myself feel better that I finally finished it. I'm a little meh with the final product, but I like it.
It started out after I read a myth on someone's deviation that there were old werewolf folklore that if you drank from a certain water source, you would turn into a werewolf. So I sort of wanted to draw something like that... but I don't think it looks like that. Just looks like a werewolf hugging a rock with random water.
Also tried to make it look like he was still morphing, with the strange chest and barely grown in teeth... but overall it just looks like horrible anatomy. D:
So on and off, this piece took about 4 hours to do. First time actually trying water out... and I'm not too happy about that little waterfall there. Makes it look like a place to go white water rafting. lol
So anywhosen, enjoy!

Silly ass wolf, the moon is too far away, you can't eat it~
i have to say a really nice job on the moon, its a shame my laggy internet connection lets the buffering take longer than the accual video, so i cant check if you'd brushed it.
BUT WHO CARES,
LOOK AT THAT LIGHT REFLECTION IN THE WATER.
lovely attention to detail on this pice of work dear~

He only wishes he could be like Moon Moon. PFFF
How I made the moon was make a solid white circle, get a picture of the moon via google, then put it over the white circle. Fiddle with the settings, and then putting another white circle behind it, blur it to give it the moon edge glow. :3 SIMPLICITY!
Drew the moon once before on a deviation. Broke my brain. hjfkdsf
BUT THANK YEW VERY MUCH.

Oh wow, Kim. This is really stellar!
I think you really did a great job with the painting, especially in the moon and the wolf. There's really nice value contrast with the moon and the wolf which gives it a lot of depth (I feel like the wolf is actually blocking the light from the moon!)
If you're willing to take suggestions, compositionally, I think there could be a bit more done with the right hand corner of the cave/waterfall thing. I love how you have planned out, being that there are things farther in front to make the piece more interesting, however, it seems a bit flat. Maybe going a bit farther with the colors and shading could bring back the depth to make it more appealing. Right now it sticks out because you have a beautifully shaded piece but have a big strip of blue in the foreground, distracting the viewer. But other than that, it's seriously beautiful.

Hmmm... you're right. It is rather flat. D:
Maybe I'll start doing little sketches of water and stuff, because that was the first time I actually tried moving water. Thanks for the input! I'll have to focus more on it. While drawing I was just "eh" about that section of the piece and moved on. lol

Yep, I draw lots of random shapes and lines. This sort of started out as a fun doodle, then it became bigger until this popped up, lol. I have a speed draw of this on YouTube, although I started recording after the main sketch. But you can sort of see whatever circles and shapes are left over, although most are partly erased.

I use Photoshop Elements 9. It came with registering my tablet, which is an Intuos 4. If you're curious on other things, I have some listed on my video's credits.

Actually it's if you drink from a river or lake or other natural water source that wolves have drunk from, that supposedly turns you into a wolf.
This looks great, my only suggestions are about the chest and mouth; the ribs look too far up on the body, and the mouth looks way too wide to me as if it's unhinged or dislocated its jaws, but other than that this is really good.

I didn't notice the jaw until I read this.
Thanks for the critique! I'll have to pay attention to those areas next time I draw a "roaring" werewolf of sorts.
