Description Ever since I started studying about the Anglo-Saxon time period in British Literature, I recognized some of the Old English letters because they were in the modern Icelandic alphabet. Because of this, I decided to explore the alphabets of the world (obviously the modern alphabets). I was also inspired by Humon's SatW comic "Nothing is Perfect": [link] . I started with the Nordic alphabets.^^

BTW, for Iceland's pose, I used "I Love You": [link]

For those of you who do not understand what Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland is saying, I will provide translations.

Denmark: The Danish and Norwegian Alphabet!
Sweden: The Swedish and Finnish Alphabet
Iceland: The Icelandic Alphabet

Up next is the Romance languages. No, not romance like love, but Roman language (Latin) origin, ie Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.

Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Γ…land, Finland, Iceland, SatW (c) Humon

I didn't want to check if this had been asked before, so forgive me if it had, and you're wellcome to delete my comment or whatever, but why is Denmark talking like that? The correct way would be "Det danske og norske alfabet" (yes, i am danish)

There's no Finland saying it finnish, because Finland dosen't talk, but if he did it would be: 'Suomalaiset ja Ruotsalaiset aakkoset.' Just saying, and don't really know why... ^^'

If you end up doing Germanic, you have to include English! We're both a Romantic AND Germanic language!

Haha cute
Mad Finland reminds me of the Finns wanting to β€œThrow away” the β€œΓ…β€
being the symbol of β€œpakkoruotsi” (enforced Swedish) [link] and all

just one thing, there’s a minor error in the Swedish sentence too, it should be β€œDet” instead of β€œDe” Right now it says β€œThem Swedish alphabet”

But I really admire you for trying
I could only imagine how confusing Det/Den/Dem/De should be for a non Scandinavian speaker

Yeah. Thank you for notifying me on that. I'll change it when I get the chance.

Nice. One pointer for you, though. We(Icelanders) don't actually have C in our alphabet. We may use it on occasion for "special cases" such as words and names with foreign influence or origin, but that's pretty much it.

As wiki tells it: The letters C, Q and W are only used in Icelandic in words of foreign origin and some proper names that are also of foreign origin. Otherwise, c, qu, and w are substituted with k/s/ts, hv, and v respectively.

Have a good day.

How brilliant! And God, Iceland has a lot of letters. Nice drawings as well, you've really captured their personalities!

Just a single thing is wrong; It's called "Det danske og norske alfabet", not "Den ..." Danish is a pain in the ass on that point, but... yeah (:
