Had a dream about being this character, so I am taking it as a sign to submit him at last.

Powers/Abilities:
Chris has the ability to absorb kinetic energy in the form of blows, falls, and concussive waves. As the energy is absorbed it is redirected to all parts of his being, making him tougher, faster, heightening senses, quicker healing, and augmenting his strength to super-human levels. He can also focus that energy in the form of a projectile "push" that can hit and restrain targets.

Weaknesses/Limits:
Until he has absorbed sufficient energy he is still susceptible to serious injury from cuts and burns. This also makes bullets and energy weapons dangerous to him. As a safeguard he wears protective gauntlets and boots that deflect and absorb hostile attacks. His mutant power has thus far, shown no limitation, giving way to the idea that he could be an Omega level mutant.

BIO:
Born in Galway, Ireland, Christian is the son of Maggie and Greg O'Brien. A scrapper from a young age, it was common to see him with various cuts and bruises from his latest fight with the other boys, some nearly twice his size. In truth Christian fought so much to cover up the fact that his father was beating him and his mother.

At the age of 13, a confrontation with his father ended when his powers manifested in the form of a energy pulse that threw Greg through a window and to his death. Wanted for murder, Christian ran away, when he was found by Moira MacTaggert and Sean Cassidy (Banshee).

Due to his rough past, he keeps much to himself and often challenges authority figures. However, within the X-Men he has found a place where he feels like he can let his guard down.
