Description
I won a challenge contest over on Cartographers Guild for map elements. I decided to do some town/city icons for use on maps. There are 6 different icons in 3 different sizes. I tried to convey some regional difference within a cohesive style.
Here's the original thread on the Guild - www.cartographersguild.com/mapβ¦
And here's the original pencil sketch work.
And some closeups
These are free for PERSONAL use - NOT for COMMERCIAL use. If you're going to make money from your work don't use these.
Not to be redistributed or added to other collections and reuploaded or distributed. Any questions - just ask. Enjoy.

These are absolutely beautiful sir! Have you happened to build them into Brushes for GIMP at all? The utter detail on these would be great to include in any map.Β

No, hadn't made them as brushes.

I LOVE the Far Empire theme. Β As I'm an avid storycrafter and DM for our annual May Getaway, I'm going to narrate our new adventure with architecture of this nature. Β Any chance you'll be sketching a series of structures in this manner for a village or city setting (like Beagle House and Back Stair Street for instance)?

Thanks Larry.
Well, I suppose that could happen before May.
Keep reminding me and I will see if I can fit that into my schedule.
Either shoot me a reminder here or just send me a note - I have so many projects going on that I can easily forget.
So the reminder would give me a little prod in that direction.

Thanks for the reply.
Here's the reminder...just a little nudge, mind you.
What I'd be interested in (because it fits my 5e campaign that I'll be running) is a ritual building. Β Sort of an expansion on an archmage's tower. Β But I need it to be the round and squat architecture with several walls that protect the interior. Β And...somehow, the building's architectural structure needs to be some sort of vertically constructed rune for protection, not from the outside, but from whatever summoning rituals might let loose inside. Β Floor plans aren't necessary but might be nice. Β When I was in architectural school in Boston, "Form follows function" was the mantra.
I realize you're probably thinking this is a commission based request but I'll leave it up to you if you want to tackle it or not. Β I'm not expecting it but wouldn't mind seeing more of the rounded archictural structures even if you don't attempt what I noted.
Keep up the amazing work. Β I'm happy to be a fan!
