I made the lightsaber in MS Paint then colored it and 'mounted' it in Photoshop. I've never done this before, so bear with me.Related content

the hilt is rather short, either that or it's too thick... it could be short-blade Yoda-style lightsaber...

Nah, it's a little over two hand widths long. I haven't figured out how to give the impression that it's cylindrical. I think that is making it look a little thick

it's all about the lighting... screen a gradient over it if you know what that is...

I'll play around with it. This was my first ever attempt at coloring one of my lightsabers in PS.
