Hey Quinn, I have something of yours... She's safe for now, but I cannot promise she'll remain that way, you see my commander is a cruel man, and he's just itching to let his Torture Droids out to play, I personally doubt she has anything useful to tell us, but he'd rather not take the chance... If you wish to see her safe then accept my challenge, face me one on one, I'll be waiting on Raxis Prime, follow the co-ordinates and you'll find me, with the brat. Do not make me wait though, I cannot keep her hidden for long.-------
Star Wars AU OC stuff! I actually drew and scanned this a little while ago, a few weeks at least, but I... I actually forgot to upload it, I'm dumb. XD
But oh no! Orchid has been captured by the Empire, and her life now rests in the hands of Kiri Starchaser... Quinn's nemesis!
To make matters worse Kiri's 'handler', a Commander called Gideon, is eager to work his way into the Emperor's inner circle, and is willing to take any measure to insure it, including using his beloved torture droids to extract information from Orchid... Things are looking grim indeed... But all is not lost, as Orchid finds herself being shielded from Gideon's fiendish devices by Kiri herself!
In the end Kiri is redeemed by Quinn and goes on to become a Jedi, however I feel it would be an interesting twist if the seeds of her redemption were sown through her own actions, the usually heartless agent of evil, remembering her own tortured childhood, looks after the young child whilst she is in Imperial hands, keeping Gideon from torturing her, bringing her food and a blanket, and even offering a word or two of comfort, eventually (after about a fortnight in captivity) Orchid is freed by Kiri, who plans to use her to lure out her nemesis for a duel... Whilst her motive might be selfish, ultimately it is the first step on her road to redemption.
I think it'd be a good story ark, to see the first signs of another side of Kiri as she bonds with Orchid, it'd be fun to see just how they'd interact, Orchid would be terrified at first, and Kiri would be frustrated, angry, and confused as to why she's even bothering to defend the little girl, by the end of her captivity Orchid can sense the faintest of light within Kiri, and Kiri herself starts to show empathy for Orchid, even speaking softly to her (Kiri usually speaks very harsh and aggressively)...
It's also fun to introduce a genuinely evil character, in Commander Gideon, he was appointed by the Emperor to be Kiri's 'handler', and commands her Star Destroyer, he's a sadistic man with delusions of grandeur, and aspires to worm his way into the Emperor's favor by any means necessary, hoping to be promoted to a position among the grand admiralty, or even better, a Moff... He has his own variants of the Imperial 'IT-O' Torture Droids, named Wrath and Rancor, which he treats as if they were his pets...
I decided to give Kiri a new outfit, it's now a heavily customised variant of Stormtrooper attire with a cape, she also bares a scar on her head, partially concealed by her hair, she sustained it during a previous battle with Quinn. (Quinn's injuries were far worse as several ribs were broken and her right lung was punctured when she got skewered by a metal pipe...) Oh! And for those interested the mark on Kiri's face is a semi-permanent tattoo infused with Nightsister Alchemy, it enhances her connection to the dark side, however the trade off is that this exposure steadily but negatively affects her mental health, though as she starts to embrace the lighter side the ink itself fades until the tattoo is no longer visible. The design itself is basically a black Kouhon variant (Which is like a large poison centipede) that is devouring it's own tail, like Jormungandr, or an Ouroboros.
By the way, Gideon is the guy in the background to the right with the two long bangs, the other Imperial officer in the center is his First Officer, named Darius.
It seems I draw Orchid crying a lot... I'm sorry girl... Heh, she's got a doll of Quinn, it's cute, but Kiri hates it, she plucked one of it's eyes off... ;_;

I do think the idea this gave you though is quite awesome, that would be very ironic for Kiri...provided Quinn doesn't just murder her first.

Ah, thank you very much! I really like characters who're morally ambiguous, and seeing a character develop from one thing into another. Aye, though whilst Quinn is indeed hot-blooded, and accepts her rival's challenge with the full intention of destroying her, seeing Orchid unharmed brings her to her senses, and she herself begins to sense that Kiri may not be a lost cause after all... For Quinn, I want her to be a hero, and whilst she often treads the line between heroic and reckless she very rarely acts on hatred, impulsive as she may be. (Though when she does I plan for it to be a grand spectacle, like slamming a falling Star Destroyer down on a World Devestator!

I think Quinn is a much better (as in morally so) character than my own Jedi OC Kahan. He's intrinsically a goodhearted person, but he has a darkness and is fully aware and capable of using his power to crush others when he is pushed to his limit or feels that he has been cornered...in fact he does several very un-jedi like things with his abilities on more than one occasion though he always has an explanation for them. I think he and Quinn are quite opposite in that regard as Kahan has a tendency of forgiving and releasing those that threaten him while others that threaten those he cares for he often mercilessly annihilates without remorse or a second thought.
I really do like though that Quinn never crosses that line and remains on the good side of things despite the fact that those she cares about are endangered.

I think if she lost Orchid that would definitely break her, like she would completely lose it, it's another way that Orchid acts as an anchor for her. That said she does have other triggers, when Nox joined the Rebellion Quinn was still very naive, and she hated Nox, because Nox was a former Tie Fighter pilot who, under duress, committed an atrocity by destroying a transport carrying hundreds of immigrant refugees, Nox defected because of her guilt, but Quinn really hated her because of her crime, she later comes to understand that many Alliance personnel are former Imperials that could be considered war criminals, and finally reconciles after Nox tries to commit suicide (Quinn walks in on Nox as she slashes her wrist with a razor blade, and Quinn instantly ignites her lightsaber and glances the surface of the wound, burning it shut), Quinn feeling partially responsible for the way she treated Nox... Years later as well, after Nox, who was recovering from Death Stick addiction, relapses and unable to pay her dealer is abducted and sold into slavery, Quinn is furious and uses the Force to get information from Nox's dealer, nearly choking him to death... Whilst Quinn and Kahan seem like opposites, I'm pretty sure she could understand his reasoning, and know she herself that if circumstances were different she'd likely do the same.
I'm really glad, most of my OC's are pretty ambiguous, so Quinn was an interesting change, and although she never crosses that line, she can still come pretty damn close.

Yeah I can definitely understand a character who has an anchor like that. It would be something really vital and if lost shattering.
This Nox character also sounds really fascinating...overall I enjoy your characters and storylines it seems, they're really emotive and evocative as well as being easy to follow which is more than I can say for some of my nonsense!

Yeah, I often dread my own characters' development and fear it may be severely lacking. You however seem to have grasped quite well the method to the madness and executed it quite well.

It's always a worry, you're not alone there... I'm really glad my characters are so well received, I guess I always try to see things from the character's point of view, and try to treat them as real people, which kind of sounds like the madness within the method!

Hahah, Kiri is most certainly insane! XD She's not afraid of a few saber burns, her biggest phobia however is Lightning, she can't even use Force Lightning she's that terrified by it... ;A;
