Description
This is Quinn Shara, we've been pulled out of Hyperspace! Don't bother fighting, it's futile, there are THREE Star Destroyers, an Interdictor, and a whole fleet worth of fighters, we've gotta retreat, all power to your engines and shields, gun it to the other side of the moon, get out of the Interdictor's Gravity Well's range and make the jump into Hyperspace! It doesn't matter where you jump to, we'll regroup later at fall-back co-ordinates, but for now just run!-------
Watched the Empire Strikes Back again today (I watch it A LOT), and I wanted to draw something that captured that same desperation that the Rebel Alliance has, they're scattered, with no choice but to keep running for their lives in the shadow of the overwhelming might of the Imperial Navy... If a single Star Destroyer is a symbol of the Empire's power, then a fleet represents it's absolute dominance.
A small band of Rebels, led by Quinn Shara (my OC) run the gauntlet across the fringes of Imperial Space, escorting Imperial defectors and Refugees to the relative safety beyond, however on this occasion it wasn't be such a simple run, led by Kiri StarChaser's (another OC) Interdictor, a fleet of Star Destroyers and countless Tie-Fighters wait in ambush, Kiri's Interdictor utilizes it's Gravity Wells to pull the Rebels out of Hyperspace, Kiri's interest however is personal, she wishes to crush the fledgling Jedi Quinn Shara, and deploys in her Tie Advanced to personally claim her prize! Quinn is an Ace pilot and whilst her own ship is immobilized she is also able to disable her pursuer as well.

The results of this engagement are as follows:
1/5 Z95 Head Hunters escaped.
4/6 T65 X Wings escaped.
3/5 BLT Y Wings escaped.
1/1 Gallowfree Medium Transport (The Iridescent) escaped.
1/1 YT-2400 Custom (Junker's Daydream) escaped.
Quinn Shara escaped, picked up by the Junker's Daydream after her T-65 is immobilized, which will be replaced with an A-Wing whilst undergoing repairs.
7 Tie Fighters lost.
Slight Damage the the 418 Interdictor StarChaser's Gravity Wells (caused by a Kamikaze attack by a damaged Y-Wing.)
Kiri Starchaser's Tie Advanced is damaged beyond repair, she herself survived, her lost ship will be replaced with a newly developed Tie Phantom.

This was a lot of fun to draw, mainly because I hardly ever draw ships! XD
I decided that Zai's ship will be a modified YT-2400 Light Freighter, I really like it's design!
Along the side of Quinn's cockpit are markings that represent the fighters she's shot down, she's bagged quite a few, eh? Still, she's not as good as good ol' Wedge Antilles! I really hope the ships look alright, the Star Destroyers especially, really wanted to capture the sense of awe and terror they represent. Oh! And Kiri's Tie Advanced has Green Tinted glass, cuz' she likes it. XD
By the way, the background is supposed to be a gas nebula thing. .______.

Indeed, normally you'd want to target the Interdictor, take out it's gravity well generators and then jump into hyperspace, but flanked by THREE Star Destroyers? Forget about it! XD

Wel yeah, but I think they have larger problems at the moment!
Yeah, typically I'd agree and say take down that Interdictor but from what I'm seeing I don't see a single cruiser or larger in their force that could even pretend to deal with those star destroyers so time to run!

Yeah the YT-2400 does look pretty good.
Go over to Wookieepedia and look up the HT-2200, that's my own personal favorite freighter.

I really like ships with asymetric designs, though I reckon they're tough to pilot, you'd probably have to have very good spacial awareness.
Ah, I see! That looks like a cargo hauler's dream, all that space, I wonder if it could be kitted out to make a decent combat ship? Replacing the cargo areas with extra power generators, munitions storage, and adding bulkier weapons to the hull, it could certainly look like a formidable beast...

Well either that or really good proximity sensors on the far side of the ship.
As for the combat version of the HT-2200 you probably could put enough equipment in the rear two bays to strap a couple turbolaser cannons to the top of the ship. Dunno if you could have them rotate at all, they'd probably have to be fixed forward to avoid ripping the ship apart. Regardless you can have one bay be for the crew and the other three for freight and still have room for passengers.
