It’s thought that there’s only one in existence at a time, and in the dying process of a bop it becomes pregnant, gives birth in an isolated area, and then dies so the baby can hatch and feast on its parent’s decaying corpse wonderful. The cause of the link between bops and Chrysta drakes is unknown, but it is telepathic. A bop cannot verbally communicate, but it doesn’t need to, it will literally speak to a Chrysta drake through its mind. How this species hasn’t gone extinct is also a mystery. Ancient legends talk of Beasts being born from the planet if one is killed in battle, but that is up for debate.

There are no reports of one being killed period. They are incredible in combat, and rumor has it that Beasts can almost predict what their opponent is going to do next. Their scales are much like that of a shark, and are borderline impenetrable. Most adversaries run from confrontation with a Beast, those brave enough, or stupid enough, to stay are slain. Their appearance is creepy, in a sense, and the “reversal” of eye colors throws off enemies.

Because their brain sits in the back of their head, it cannot be reached through the eyes, so it can be blinded, but not killed by trauma to the eyes (considering their skull is like thirty feet long you’d need a long af sword real talk)
