i like it, but why not shorten the barrel a little bit? it seems like a common enough "upgrade" on most urban combat kits (mostly thinking about the TUSK though)Β

TUSK doesn't have a shortened barrel, it has a short barrel from day one (the Abrams still has the L/44 cannon its been using since the A1 upgrade). You're probably thinking back to the Leopard 2 PSO, though I'm pretty sure that was just a clever marketing ploy to sell off 2A5 standard gun barrels.
I was considering it, especially with the cannon at this length, but the problem is that this gun is somewhat more complex than what you might term 'legacy' designs; because it's gotten to the point where propellant geometries and thus burn rates are tailored to the actual length of the gun, shortening the gun barrel would essentially make all the solid propellant munitions used in the gun useless - which is a problem, because I'd have to maintain parallel stocks of optimised munitions.

yea I meant shortened as in "replaced with a shorter one compared to the original" not like they took a supersaw to it and cut it down a notch :'3Β and aha, well with the 20 mm on the roof it should't have TOO much trouble with infantry in cover anyway so, even if its maingun will have a limited traverse \o/

That's the hope.
To be honest, this isn't really the optimal tank to use for urban combat duties, but until I get around to finishing my ~30t tracked chassis it's all I really have...

Anything. Ammunition, supplies, battery packs, water...

Ammo near the engine, batteries near the engine...RPG...and you call yourself High Lords Master of Armaments.

By that logic, vehicles wouldn't be carrying jerry-cans of external fuel - and yet they do. Odd.
If an RPG powerful enough to get through the slat armour around the engine block finds itself behind the tank, the ammunition and batteries are hardly going to do anything the tandem HEAT warhead won't.

looks great! might i ask you what scale are you using? i'm planning to go JG scale on vehicles, but dunno if that'll allow for a good amount of detail.

It's a proprietary scale.
JG scale is a tad too small, I think. Experiment and see?
