Well a wip here... Since it's my first time drawing a mermaid, struggling with colors... At first, I wanted to make the hair multi-color but didnt look really good, blue didnt really stand out. I use aquamarine eyes for most of my drawings but it didn't work quite well this time. Tried red eyes and failed. Honestly? i dont like the current hair colorSoo it's likely ill change all the colors later. Mermaid is a tricky creature to color..
btw she's not a mermaid but some sea-creature. She's too fishy to be a mermaid. lol

I actually really like the colours, or at least the values that you have going on - I'd suggest that you keep the hair bright, at least! With the eyes, she looks a bit wall-eyed/thousand yard stare to me. I read somewhere that it's always better to have them a little cross-eyed to give the illusion that they're focusing on the viewer.

beautiful of course! but may i humbly suggest the hair colors more like what you did on your Rainbow Sea Elf piece? i can imagine the hair for this WIP as more silvery, with some colors of the ear fins (the dark blue green and aqua blue) as streaks in the hair. I believe you should change the hair first, then decide what eye color works best with the new hair. as always, i am stunned by the beauty of your work.

oohhes i think the hair looks pretty i actually love the colours as they are, the two tones eyes and the golds against the blues its so beautiful to me! but i am very intrested in seeing the outcome! but sadly i dont have any suggestions aside from white hair because i love white hair and if it was up to me there would be more white hair everywhere xD <3

well i thought of white hair too and im a huge fan of white hair yknow but her costume and tail is all colorful with green & golden so it didnt really look fitting :< ;.... so yeahhh my friend suggested me pale lavender and i was like awww ill try it out!!! and fail..... LOL so yeahh i;ll have to find a good color comb soon.. xD;;

awww rlyy i would make it same has her cloth and tail color but then it'd look too typical/normal ish ._. so yeahhh i'd keep this one if i dont find something better... >w<;; thanks for the advice
