So... fanart?Yes! Seeing TASM has rekindled so many childhood memories for me... oh gosh, the nostalgia.
Spider-man was the first super hero that I really got in to. I'm serious, I watched the old cartoons, played the old video games, went to see all the movies (sometimes several times). The only thing I didn't really do is read the comics (since it was a little before my time.) But he's always had a special place in my heart, and when the newest film came out, I had to do some fanart, (which as many of you may know, is a very VERY rare thing for me.)
I'm not going to say whether or not I liked the new movie better than the old one, (although the new film's music can't even compare to the old one... [link] I was listening to it while drawing this

I think I have a feeling of what you were trying to do here. Getting a very iconic visual for Spider Man and you've got the right idea. A dynamic pose in motion, a very bright eye catching background, and a very poster-esque composition here.
Your colors are very strong. By which I mean that you really have a good handle on them. You got just the right red and blue for his outfit and you handled the web pattern on his outfit very well. The small eyes are a unique touch to this, especially since they appear kind of golden.
Unfortunately, I do have a couple of gripes with this. First off, he looks rather stiff, even though you're illustrating a sort of twisting motion. I understand that there are moments were a body is taught while in motion, but that's just not something that hits me for Spider Man, who is always notoriously flexible and limber. For motion, it's best that the arms be a little bent, which you've done before to good effect.
His spine is also an issue with me. His body is twisting but his spine looks mostly erect. His body also showing the front and back of his outfit seems strange as well. I wouldn't be possible to see both turning the way he is, so the perspective doesn't work out.
Those are the biggest issues here for me. On a lesser note, the background seems lacking to me, but unfortunately I can't really say what. Just that it's missing something. He should probably be a wee more centered, too.
The proportions are just right, though and you have a good handle on his lithe form so the physique fits. I'm also glad that you added some of the undulations his face creates through the mask and it's those tiny details that really help make something great, especially for fans.
By the way, I'm still not sure what the hell they mean by "Vision", so if you don't get the rating I gave it's because I went by what I think it means. Either way, I hope this helps because despite anything I find fault in here, you can create some truly amazing Spider Man images (see what I did there?). Just need to keep a close eye on body language and how certain things show up. I would like to see you try more Spider Man to see what kind of ideas you'd employ.

Thank you for your imput, I always appreciate critique
The reason I don't do fanart much is because I'm so afraid of what other fans might think of it, I always get this thought in my head of "what if the original creator saw it, what would they think?" Which is what most often inhibits me from drawing fanart.
I really want to practice with spidey a little more though, so you might see some more of him from me in future.
I appreciate your feedback. Again with the posing, I used a photo reference (from my own stock), but I suppose it didn't work out the way I had planned. I'm quickly discovering that going directly off of a reference is a bad idea XD.
Thank you again!

You're welcome to it. I remember you very clearly expressed your love for Spider Man, so I figured I'd try to help. I have that same kind of feeling about fan art, so I know what you mean. Just want to get it right and for it to be recognizable by others', but you do what you can and how you want to in the end. Sometimes it's more interesting when you put your own twist on a character's design.
Cool stuff, it should be fun to see what you come up with.
It's not always a bad idea, to use it directly if you got exactly what you want from it. ^-^ I'm glad you do use references though, because it doesn't even need to come out exactly as what you see. But, I realize I may be preaching to the choir.
Looking forward to more of your work.
