I'm not afraid of being alone~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

. If you comment on or fav this, thank you in advance!Painting is such fun! This was done in around twenty hours (I think) over the course of a week. I used no references, which I am rather proud of. This concept was not carefully planned or slowly executed, unlike many of my other paintings, but I love how it turned out. This is one of those images that I think very well embodies my personal style and creative inclinations. I'd like to point out that this one is heavily inspired by *Sugarock99 , as well.

Anyway, this is done in acrylic paint on canvas, 22x28 inches, and I used a matte medium and a matte varnish, as well. Mediums are like heaven...
ยฉ to myself, please don't redistribute it, but feel free to use it personally.

And, as always, comments and critiques are totally sweet.
As a last note, her proportions may appear unrealistic, but I think it's a combination of illusions, as I did an anatomical sketch before I began.

Thats very modest, and I guess there always will be people being just a bit too perfect in there works, but I think your work here really hit a spot (since there are many spots talking about art). The alone is something people can refer too, in both positive and negative ways. The colours are perfect for the concept and the movement in there and the simple composition make you watch just at the girl/woman. The under water feeling is 100% also..And that it seems deep down gives it a factor of thrill, I think. It's got plenty of mysterie in it wich makes it even more fun to watch and you wonder where the girl came from, and why is she there?
Conclusion: You deserve a DD -^^-

I know how you feel. Believe me. This painting was partially created as an outlet to express how alone I sometimes feel. When I said "I'm not afraid to be alone," that's not true at all. I wish I could be like the girl in the water, so calm, serene, and accepting. The truth is that I hate the feelings I sometimes get; feelings of loneliness and frustration and hopelessness and sadness. Feel free to note me. I'll listen.

what's the reasons for your loneliness?
for me.. sometimes I feel like I live so far away from my family & sometimes I can't find my friends when I need them
[like I have no friend when I'm sad] or I just don't wanna bother them.
and I think that's made me need for LOVE [emotional emptiness]

Well, I just feel very... um... different from the others around me. There are very few people in my world who think like me. To add to that, I have depression issues and such (doesn't everyone?), so it just gets overwhelming sometimes.
I know what you mean when you say you feel a need for love. That's one I can relate to very well. Family and friends always say they love you, but you can't help but to wonder...

It talks of whatever you wish it to. To me, it's about learning the quiet things of life, mostly about learning to appreciate being alone, in your own world, surrounded by unknowns.

You should definitely check out my Enchanted Threshold, it's speaks so many messages and I am interested as to what you get out of it.... to me it's the story of my life and things I have had to overcome. I love your art so much, it spoke to me on so many levels... for instance I saw a fear of unknowns but also not needing the fear of acceptance and living comfortable with solitude and peace. NO JUDGEMENT.
