Hey hey! ^^
I'm back (oh so soon! yey!) with another small comical drawing of our dear old skeksis!
This time it's everyone's favorite bickering duet: General SkekUng and Chamberlain SkekSil!
If you're a fan of The Dark Crystal, you surely do remember that iconic scene of the movie where the Chamberlain, after losing the Trial By Stone duel, is shorn of his clothes and richess, and banished, right?

Well, thanks to my dearest friend who owns a copy of the beautiful new Dark Crystal visual guide, I came to know about some info from the DarkCrystal pre-production times, and found out there were many different early scripts, some complete and others nearly so, at which different approaches were done to the story, characters and development.
One of the changes my friend told me about which caught my attention semeed to happen at a middle-staged script, at which not only SkekSil would lose a Trial by Stone against SkekUng and end up in rags and sent out, but also, in turn, SkekUng himself would be left in tatters and scorned, after losing the same duel against Ritual Master SkekZok (who would use a trick to defeat him: he'd angle his sword toward a beam of light and channel it as a powerful "laser-like" beam to have the black "Hakskeekah" duel-stone exploding into pieces! )

This change within how the skeksis would play out contained yet another thing which admittedly had us laughing for a while (after a brainstorming we did, coming back and forth with ideas about this) ) : instead of being cast out of the castle, the skeksis who had been defeated at Trial By stone and shorn as "outcasts" would, in fact, remain within the castle...but they would not be allowed into any rituals (including the Sun Ceremony they need to daily heal and remain alive) and would be sent to the farthest corner of the castle, to dwell in rags between trash and leftovers.
Of course this is quite a nasty way to end up...yet the idea of the General and Chamberlain being sent into what basically is a "tough Time-out" to stay on a corner...immediately made me think "Oh my, they just got sent to a corner to "think of what they did", as if they were misbehaved children" XD
Then the talk with my friend became a whole rounded up idea, as we both kept throwing ideas in and she went onto how SkekZok would act like a stern teacher sending the other two "to the time-out corner" and how they'd behave there, like two sulking children

That's where this idea came from *Edit* I want to appologize for having forgotten to mention my dear friend Azure yesterday when I uploaded this, I just claimed the idea as mine, and that was totally unfair. I have edited the description as it always should have been! ^^
This drawing wouldn't have been possible at all if Azure hadn't mentioned that early script to me and hadn't talked with me about these ideas, so: thanks, my dearest friend, for having helped me *as always* to develop the concepts for this drawing!
