A scream of protest could be heard when the creature's hand flinched in surprise, releasing the ring, which described an arch in the air, falling chasm down.
"NOOOO!!"squealed Gollum at the top of his lungs...and then, it was gone. Now, it was only Smeagol who, looking at his master with flabbergasted eyes, hung in the air, the hobbit's hand holding him to life."...
