I just started paper crafting, I was wondering what kind of paper do you use? I know it's preferred to use thick paper but I'm just not sure how thick?

Hey, congratulations! I hope you enjoy papercrafting as much as I do.
I personally would recommend you get paper that is 120-180gsm. This is my personal preference. I know that a lot of people like using +200gsm, but to me this is bordering on card-stock, and you end up having to deal with visible white edges.
Also, read this: [link]
Good luck

Okay, that made me giggle.
I second Chartodileon, it's been on my To Do for the longest time. And that Shroom is the most adorable thing. I'll make a red... a green... a... a... what else color mushroom is there?

Um ... there's:
- red with white spots
- green with white spots
- orange with red spots
- blue with white spots
I can't think of any more :\
Hey, check out this photo - it made me lol!

Makes me want to redecorate a room in my house and make it a Shroom Room. Ya know, that's not such a bad idea.

LOL! Send me a photo when you're done - they MUST be the papercraft variety though - stay true to your-PO-self!
Hmmm *thinking* ... how hard would it be to make an enormous version of this mushy, do you think?

Get out of my head...
I can downscale it no problem but upscaling is a whole 'nother matter. Now if we only had the password to the PDO. Alas, a hacker, I'm not.
Meanwhile, I now have a green version ready for printing.

Woo-Hoo! Green mushie!
Hmm ... I can crack PDFs, RARs, and ZIPs, but I don't have the software to crack PDOs
Maybe one of Icthius7's friends of NP could ask him to up-size it ... that would be so awesome!

Yep, same here.
Only problem I see with upscaling that shroom is that it's so hollow that its structural integrity might be affected if upscaled too much.

Yeah, I'm having the very same problem with the "life-size" Aryll's Telescope at the moment.
It's not going too well - My very words were "Oh, THIS is why papercraft models are normally small!"

Dunno! Maybe you should!
It's a pretty neat little build - when I finished it (the first time) I was like:
"WOW! That looks AMAZING!!"
